Tweego : Our Comic

It was during a casual conversation with a friend that the thought of these two characters developed (Fangchu, an 11 year old kid and his enlightened dog Tweego). After discussing the characters and the plot over cola and burgers, we successfully pitched it to a leading media house in the country.

After a brief period of wait and watch, our first edition finally went live and published in June 2012. Ever since it has been a roller coaster ride or meeting deadlines, working late nights rather early morning to create some beautiful pieces of story and character that not only brought life into the panels but also childish excitement in us!

We have posted a link to see a slideshow of all our panels that we have developed since June 2012 until March 2013. I hope you love it as much as we did working on it.

I came across this interesting video that creates awareness on GMO foods and the impact on Humans and the ecology. Do have a look and be informed.

Mariapitchai, a small farmer in Vijayaachambadu village, says that he has been able to harvest his paddy crop 10-15 days ahead of the usual time of 5 months. The paddy is healthy and there are no symptoms of drying or scotched appearance due to high heat. He harvested nearly 3,000 kg from his 2.5 acres!

Panchagavya, an organic manure, is a true blessing to farmers. An article published in The Hindu, an Indian English news daily reiterates the same.

Van Helmont's experiment with a willow sapling

I came across this famous experiment that was conducted by Van Helmont, a sixteenth century Flemish chemist, physiologist, and physician.

He planted a willow sapling in a container that contained 200 pounds of soil. Over this the plant was given nothing but water. After about 5 years or so the sapling grew to a small tree that was 169 pounds in weight, and soil in the pot was 199 pounds and 14 ounces. 2 ounces of soil was lost. So the 169 pound tree came from 2 pounds soil. Further, more experiments from Helmont revealed that on an average it took 1kg of nutrients from the soil to produce 1300Kg plant growth.

How did Ek Titli happen - the journey

I am often asked a question many entrepreneurs are asked, “Why?”. The below video, a talk that I had given during the last week of December summarizes that. I have, gradually, begun to believe that this is what I am meant to do and will have to do until life has a better plan and if I ever ventured into something that has nothing to do with my passion, I will not succeed as it’s this passion that drives my creativity and my work, or rather play.
