Just a reminder that Lucien hardly knew Elain when he broke an extremely powerful Fae King’s magical chains and ran to her side. He did this in a room with enemy soldiers lining the walls. He did this while Tamlin and Rhys, two powerful high lords, continued to be restrained by that same magic.

He did it purely to put a jacket around her. To protect her dignity through the most traumatic moment of her life.

…but no, he hasn’t shown any mate characteristics.

If you have sent me anons the past few weeks or tagged me in posts, I just want to say thank you for thinking of me!

I’m taking a backseat for a while as I concentrate on wrapping up work for maternity leave and getting ready for our baby’s arrival. We have under a month to go!

I’m going to leave anons unanswered for the foreseeable future just to help balance my life a little.

My elderly dog spent two days at my parents house.

He used to sleep in our bed every night, but he’s too old to bother jumping up anymore. So he uses his own bed.

Last night he came home. It’s bedtime. I go to the bathroom to get ready for bed. When I return to our room, he’s laying on my side of the bed blinking serenely at me.

We cuddled the whole night.

EXCUSE ME WHILE I CRY BECAUSE MY NEARLY 15-YEAR-OLD DOG WAS SO MOTIVATED BY HOW MUCH HE MISSED ME THAT HE MUSTERED THE ENERY TO JUMP ON THE BED AFTER MONTHS OF SLEEPING ON HIS OWN BED.

The Elucien Mommy and Daddy bracelets made me remember about these WIPs! And by WIPs I mean please squint because these are the definition of underbaked. I know this will probably land me on some weirdo E/riel hit list but I love the idea of Lucien and Elain having a bunch of kids. They both seem like they'd LOVE being parents.

He's the type of dad who loves doing his girls' (and boys') hair and will only let Elain do it if she absolutely insists.

Mommy Elain:

Elain I imagine being the world's funnest mom and wants to play with her kids 24:7. She bakes them their favorite meals for the entire week of their birthdays and forces everyone to obsess over each of them. If you're wondering who the most energetic one is it's the Lucien flavored one in the middle, obviously.

Real talk: I am so shy when it comes to sharing Elucien fanfic.

I write, but it’s usually just little isolated scenes and snippets. I never share because I’m not nearly as talented as everyone else, and I abandon them in mid-thought most times.

But…for you, @starsreminisce? I’ll share.

Just know I am blushing so hard right now, and if it sucks you have been warned. This was inspired by the ending to Off Campus Episode 3.

Glancing up from Rhysand’s letter, hand still poised on the doorknob, he gaped at what was in front of him.

Elain was sitting on his bed wearing nothing but his emerald silk jacket.

Her golden brown curls hung loose, cascading down to hide the gentle curve of her breasts. Those fawn brown eyes were hazy with wine and lust, and the spark he saw in them radiated down the bond, kindling its thread into golden flame.

Cauldron boil and fucking fry him.

His mating bond instincts would have him ripping his tunic and pants off and thrusting into her within seconds of entering the room. His common sense roared at him to stay put though.

He knew she was drunk, and whatever happened tonight would dissipate in the morning light. This wasn’t what he wanted, and despite the obvious invitation, he doubted this was what Elain wanted too.

Ignoring his hardening dick, he instead closed the door with soft click.
