there’s a place beyond the cityscape beyond the lines and smoke the all-encompassing uproar spine-chilling spirit-dulling noise beyond black tinted eyes cracked lips aching for touch fractured faces veiled by the money-making beast feeding off their cries its hissing hymn resonating in every mind spend earn spend earn slim soft smooth skin sex style smart sit still smile - pounding pulsing its heart echoes through crevices in alleyways spaces in bursting parking lots between murmurs shoes dragging minds numbing the bittersweet hum of lives half-lived

there’s a place beyond suppression beyond the bloating beast somewhere the cracks in your skin wrinkled cheeks indicate not anxiety but untainted joy roars of laughter twirl in the curling edges of the wind entwined with dandelion specks sunflowers shade your home built with breathing branches homely warmth worries washed by morning dew trickling down breast to ground lively fire licking leaves tickling skin and trees then in dancing fading red glow to darkness fades fingertips caress a thousand lights unending space.

there’s a place beyond this noise no buildings no time only sun flowers stars only moon wind life oh take me soon take me far
