Too Much is Never Enough|| Pelenor
Eleanor sat in on the cushioned bench in their home. Some candles lit, as it was late at night. Olwen was asleep in his bed, and Alsira was finally asleep in her crib. Her Grandfather was at his little house, and who knew where Padriacâs father was. Asleep or out- leaving Eleanor sitting, and she was loosing track of how long she was sitting, and pondering. Where was Padriac? Eleanor thought of how her husband was never really late. They would always leave court together, or one before the other. Eleanor would leave earlier to get to the children, but Padriac would always make it for supper.Â
But this time...he missed it. Which was very strange of him, causing Eleanor to worry. She would look at the door and then back down to the floor, or get lost in her thoughts. The latter would always happen. It made her wonder, was he being held up? Did he get into a fight with Garret? Was he in trouble? Was Queen Susan needing his help? Or did worse things happen, and was he with-Â
No. He wouldnât, dare do that to her.
His supper was on the dinning in in the kitchen. And in front of her was a little bowl of grapes that Olwen didnât finish. And Dash, their dog of course She then looked back at the door, and back at the bowl, taking a grape and putting one in her mouth. As she was eating the grapes, she stopped to a sound of a knob twisting. Dash shot up, and looked towards the door. Her head turned sharply and she looked at it. âPadriac?â called out the dryad. âIs that you?â

evelyn-of-narnia:
Evelyn smiled at her as they fell into the same pace âI live in a small cottage near the palace so i can do my duties and still come home home to my friend and our childrenâ Evelyn looked down thinking about the past and how she came to live here and though there was a lot of bad memories but it did lead to all of the good stuff she had today.Â
âThis place has been so nice and different from the forest. what about you? â
the boys got to the doors of the bakery and began jumping aboutÂ
She nodded and smiled as Evelyn spoke of her house. It was nice she wasnât alone, and that Alexander had other kids to play with. Olwen didnât really have other kids to play with, other then the fact that he had a dog and his parents. âSo itâs near, like my home. Itâs close to the beach and forest, and to the palace, since both Padriac and I work, but currently, I have some time off to take care of Alsira.â answered Eleanor.Â
âI use to never actually be a fan of the forest actually.â laughed the dryad. Eleanor then opened the door, and the boys ran in. She smiled at the familiar baker, who knew what she always asked for
âBut tell me more about yourself, Evelyn.â said Eleanor, as she waited to be handed her good from the baker.Â

evelyn-of-narnia:
Evelyn could tell it hurt Eleanor greatly when her children where singled out and she understood all to well what it felt like so she brought her hand to the other womanâs arm âDryads and children can be cruel i have no doubt but the only thing we can do is show our children love and acceptanceâ she looked at little Alsira again âher ears are adorable and they suit herâ evelyn smiled at her before turning to the boys, while Alsira was but down to nap âAlright guys the kingdom is safe, lets go eat!âÂ
She then started to walk in the direction of the bakery with a big smile as the boys shot a head of them Alexander showing Olwen the way
âI agree on that Evelyn.â said Eleanor. âI always tell Olwen, to not judge anybody for who they are, and to only respond with kindness. And he responded on giving everyone a flower.â chuckled Eleanor, lightly. Eleanor smiled and nodded. âThey really do! It makes her different, and I hope she grows to love her elf bit.â said the dryad, looking at her daughter. Eleanor turned her head, and saw Olwen running after Alexander. She soon followed and walked with Evelyn.Â
âSo, Evelyn, where do you reside? Are you near Cair by any chance?â pondered Eleanor.Â
Hungry Heart|| Ava + Eleanor
Eleanor was heating up tea, as Olwen was playing with the dog, Dash. She had invited Ava over, and hadnât seen her since her own wedding. Plus she was busy being pregnant, with Alsira. Which the two month baby, was sitting on the floor, playing with her toys. Her Grandfather, the Dryad Elder James was out, and Padriacâs father..was well..who knew, really. Padriac was at court, being a Queensguard, and she was hoping he wasnât getting into any trouble with Garrett.Â
Olwen then moved and began playing and sharing his toys with Alsira, on the floor, and Dash lied down on the rug. When Eleanor, heard a knock at the door, she looked up, finishing the sandwiches she was making. She then walked towards the door, and opened up to see Ava. âAva!â exclaimed Eleanor. âPlease come in, and sit!â Eleanor closed the door behind the dryad, and Olwen looked up and yelled âAunt Ava!â, following by a laugh by Alsira. Eleanor followed the dyrad, and grabbed the tray of tea, and the plate of sandwiches, handing one to Olwen.Â
âAva, tell me, how are things?â

âEvelyn-of-narnia:
Evelyn could hear the boys yelling at each other about saving the kingdom together, it made her smile. Evelyn was super excited when Eleanor turned the baby towards her she almost squealed with joy âwhy hello there sweetheart, arenât you just a little cutieâ she reached out and held her little hand before pulling away and looking back at the mother in front of her
âoh yes i understand that Alexanders Ÿ dryad become i am only that and his well father was half dryad half faun so hes quarter faunâ she took a breath and looked over to the boys âHis horns are really the main trait he got and they sort of stick out. though i havenât seen him show any ability to grow flowers and such but he always keeps stuff to himself.
She smiled when her offer for lunch was excepted âok where shall we go? I know their is a bakery that sells some nice food?â
Eleanor smiled down at her baby, as Alsira laughed and smiled, waving her hands. Her ears were so noticeable, and hoped other dryads who were not Evelyn to insult this baby. She nodded in as she understood Evelynâs position as well. They were very alike. âAh yes, Padriacâs mother was a dryad, and his father is Wood-Elf. So the children are a quarter Wood-Elf.â She smiled over at the kids, who were playing. âYes, Alsira and Olwenâs ears are elf ears so theyâre very noticeable! Well, he should be able too, since heâs mostly dryad, but it takes a while though, since Olwen is just starting to make some. You have to be patient.â smiled Eleanor. She nodded as she said Alexander keeps to himself. âOlwen is the opposite...I think.âÂ
Ah yes...food. âI think that would be fine! I can put Alsira down for her nap, then.â said Eleanor, as the babyâs basket was in her other hand. âLead the way?â

evelyn-of-narnia:
Evelyn and Alexander were taking a nice walk together, talking about literally everything. She was about to ask him if heâd like to go get some food when a young boy ran up, to Alexander and asked if he wanted to play a game. Alexanders face lit up he had few friends and the more the merrier so he took the young boys hand as said pirates or knights? Evelyn looked up at a woman with a baby hurrying over and put together she was the boys mother and couldnât help but remember the days she spent running around after AlexanderÂ
âNo need to apologize the boys are having funâ she smiled looking over to themÂ
âyes its evelyn, nice to meet you Eleanor, would you like to join us, we are heading in for some lunch?â
âKnights because my father is a knight!â responded Olwen, to the young boy. âAlright, then.â said Eleanor. âOlwenâs only friend is really just me, and my husband, and our dog-Dash. But today my grandfather took Dash on a walk, so Olwen didnât get to play with him.â Eleanor smiled. âI would like to join you, that would be nice.â said the dryad. âOh I almost forget! This is my daughter, Alsira.â said Eleanor, mentioning her daughter, who was now two months.âI just, worry about Olwen, you know? Heâs a quarter elf, and has the elf ears, but heâs more dryad. And because of it, the other kids make fun of him, Iâm glad heâs making friends with someone who seems kind. You know how purist dryads are.â Eleanor forced a smile.
She remembered the time Olwen came running to her in absolute tears since a group of dryad children made fun of his ears, and his slow ability to grow a flower.Â

Eleanor, was carrying baby Alsira on her hip, as Olwen was -running ahead of her. He wasnât fast enough, but it was fast enough for him. Olwen then ran up to a little boy, who seemed a bit older but was with a young woman who looked familiar. Ah yes, sheâs heard of her, and seen her at court- Evelyn. Olwen then began to play with the boy. âSorry about my son,â said Eleanor, catching up. âHe doesnât really have friends. Evelyn right? Iâm Eleanor Aeryus, the court songstress.â

Not born in Sin|| Padriac and Eleanor
padriacoflanternwaste:
Thauhndil watched as James and Olwen walked away, knowing that it was best for Olwen not to see Padriac like this, who was practically comatose in his arms, that wail of despair almost as ongoing as the one Thauhndil himself had unleashed when Alsira died. He had wept for her, only to look to the doorway and see a four-year-old wide-eyed Padriac peeking around, only one of his blue eyes showing, and it was filling with tears. Thauhndil hadnât known what to do then to console his son, and it was doubly worse now. Padriac was a full grown Elf with a child who was already two, and an established career and reputation, and to see him falling to pieces like this broke Thauhndilâs heart. In his sessions with Theodora, he often spoke of how important Padriacâs happiness was to him now, and how he would do everything to ensure his own child, although grown, had the love and happiness provided by a parent that Thauhndil hadnât given to Padriac as a child. And now it seemed as though Padriac feared Eleanor would die, and he would be left to raise two children alone.
It hit Thauhndil like a battering ram. If that were the case, Eleanor dying and leaving Padriac alone - which is certainly wasnât - Padriac feared he would become like Thauhndil. But Padriac wouldnât be alone. He would have his father and James to help.
But Eleanor wasnât going to die. She just wouldnât. Determinedly but wordlessly, Thauhndil helped the distraught Padriac up, leading him to where he and James had been sitting before, and managed to force Padriac to sit down. Barely a moment had passed after Thauhndil sat beside Padriac did his son suddenly lean over, resting his head on Thauhndilâs shoulder, and letting out a deep, exhausted sigh. He was still shaking, and Thauhndil comfortingly put his arm around Padriac, allowing him to finally rest and calm down after all that had happened.

Hours passed. James and Olwen still hadnât returned, and Padriac had gone to sleep, Olwenâs blanket haphazardly thrown over his shoulders. Thauhndil luckily had grabbed one of his books to pass the time and was reading it with his free hand, the other still of course wrapped around Padriacâs shoulders. It was quiet, and dawn was quickly approaching. Thauhndil could hear Cair Paravel waking up. And as he thought this, James and Olwen finally returned, and Padriac was beginning to wake up. Olwen dropped Jamesâ hand at the sight of his father and ran toward him, yelling, âDaddy!â Padriac smiled weakly at his son, catching him when he jumped in his arms.
âSir Padriac? You can go in now,â a healer said as she appraoched, and Padriac quickly stood, giving Olwen a quick kiss on the forehead before putting him down and following the healer back to Eleâs room. It was clean, fresh, and best of all, full of life.
But the best and most wonderful thing he had ever seen was Eleanor sitting up, holding a small bundle in her arms. Padriac turned to grasp Olwenâs hand, and the two walked toward Eleâs bed while the grandfathers hung back for a moment. Padriac stepped up, smiling as tears came to his eyes. âEle⊠Ele⊠Iâm so glad⊠By AslanâŠâ Not caring that Olwen was right there, he kissed Ele, filled with relief and slight disbelief that she was here, alive and well. When he pulled back, he looked down at the bundle, where lay a small baby girl, dark hair circling her head. Her eyes opened, and Padriac marveled at how the baby girl looked like Ele. âH-hello there,â he stammered, using his free hand to gently touch one of the babyâs hands. âIâm so glad to finally meet you. Iâm your Daddy⊠Iâm your Daddy.â
Padriac felt an insistent tugging on his hand. âDaddy!â Olwen said, and Padriac chuckled, kneeling down to lift his son onto Eleâs bed. âBe careful,â Padriac warned Olwen carefully as the boy moved closer to Ele and the baby. âOlwen, this is your sister.â Olwen gazed intently down at his sister, his blue eyes wide, and he looked up at Ele.
âAlsira?â
Eleanor was holding the new born girl in her arms. She felt like she had to whisper for some odd reason. She heard the door open, and looked up to see the sight of Padriac. She was very tired but managed to look awake. She couldnât take her eyes off of her new child. She looked up, and felt his kiss.Â
Her hand wrapped around his face, caressing Padriacâs cheeks while he was talking to the new child. She smiled at Olwen, who climbed up on the bed. She laughed as he asked if that was Alsira. âYes, my little elf.â said Eleanor. âThis is Alsira Claire, your new baby sister.â Olwen, then smiled and looked over at his new sister. âMy baby sister?â asked the little boy. âYes, and sheâs gonna need her big brother to be there for her.â Olwenâs eyes went big, âOf course Mummy!âÂ
She laughed and smiled at her son, and he handed her the flowers. âFor me, little one?â asked Eleanor. âAnd Alsira!â jumped in Olwen. âOh thank you, Olwen, itâs beautiful.â She took the flowers, and put them next to her on the bed.Â
She then looked at Padriac and back down at Alsira. âI hope she is just like your mother, unafraid to take on the world.â said Eleanor, to Padriac.Â
