born to another upper class noble family in france, yet out of wedlock, eleanora was the youngest child of the davies, a family in which her parents - the viscount and viscountess - determined where and what their family was doing at all times.
rumor has it, eleanora was only kept and raised by the viscount and viscountess in fear of rumors of cheating going around. even eleanora is unsure which her biological parent is. however, they used her to their advantage to make their other daughters look pristine, and were often making eleanora perform household duties and eat what was considered trash. eleanora grew up frail and malnourished in the household, sometimes beaten to the point she could not bare to move.
she flees at the age of ten, her 'family' sending her out for errands, and eleanora comes across the rumored monstrous lewis' in luxemburg. though still young, eleanora knew the opportunity when she came across it, and immediately took action. she would perhaps take care of herself to look a bit more innocent, ask for a moment of the dukess' ( as the leader of the duchy was female and considered herself the duke, not her husband, tho he is also very sweet and kind ) time, and to convince her to adopt her.
she doesn't expect it to be so easy. after all, they were known for being heartless, for only caring about their own. but one look at eleanora, and the dukess decided yes, they would adopt her. perhaps it was pity, perhaps she truly wanted a daughter, as she only had two sons, or perhaps she saw this spark of wanting to live in eleanora - one she had in herself, too.
since then, eleanora is raised as a lewis, taking their name and thriving under their care. she excels in her education, finding a love for nature and the harp. she learns that she adores sweets, something she never got with the davies. her brothers and uncle train her to fight with their guards, and while eleanora is no pro, she can hold their own and took to the dagger quickly, it becoming her favorite weapon of choice. she's quick witted and charming; she's compassionate, yet knows her power; and if anyone does her or her family dirty, she will hold the grudge and bitter taste in her mouth until her dying day.

roommate. eleanora lives with her roommate, who is also ... her bodyguard.
nora. her family and close friends call her nora; those are the only people allowed to do so, she must build up trust with you if you wish to call her the nickname.
sweet tooth. loves sweets from europe; it was one of the first things her mother had fed here when eleanora came to her, and she only associates sweets ( hot chocolate in particular ) with her mother, warmth, and safety.
the harp. her mother suggested picking up an instrument, and eleanora had found herself gravitating towards the instrument the moment she was in the same room as it. she's a talented player, though doesn't professionally, and captivates everyone in the room when she's playing.
marshmallow. eleanora was gifted a cream-colored ragdoll female kitten after her first six months with the lewis'. the cat is her everything, and certainly followed her to new york, just the same.

THE PATRIARCH OF THE DAVIES IS FOUND DEAD IN HIS BEDROOM. officials rule it as a heart attack, but as the lewis' appear at the funeral, people are quick to gossip - and name eleanora as the killer, despite her not even being in the same country as the man - and seen in bath, england the night before. still, it's enough for her mother to send her to america; for the european press is ruthless, and at least in new york, eleanora can live a semi-normal life among other socialites, and those used to their name in the papers. she absolutely despises it, is constantly homesick, but will do it to appease her mother.
PERSONALITY !
as sweet as strawberry shortcake served in a victorian garden with fruit tea ( which is one of her favorite meals to this day ), she is the epitome of someone with a captivating blend of resilience and kindness. she embodies a modern cinderella type, not just finding refuge but thriving in a world that allows her true character to shine.
