The importance of letting white people play non white charaters

I can’t believe i actually have to post this. 

I know I’m going to lose followers but honestly, it just needs to be said. 

As an African American, Native American, and descended of an Ethiopian immigrant, I have  a say in this and my opinion is very valid. 

So let me tell you why your opinion is damaging to race relationships as a whole. 

The very foundation of race relationships is in understanding and empathy. If, per say, a white person would like to make a character non white to understand a race or culture better, it’s up to them. They can do their research. They can portray us respectful. If someone doesn’t, then feel free to call them out. That’s what you should be doing. You shouldn’t be limiting a person’s creativity, especially if it’s promoting diversity in a community that’s predominately white anyway.
