Dean and Cas try to just be friends after the confession scene and then Dean thinks Cas might have feelings for someone else cause he's acting distant and Dean just full on has a paranoid jealous episode and lashes out at Cas a bunch and tries to keep him isolated from the entire world and monitors everything in his life.

Going to start truthing that when Dean had one night stands in his early twenties he starts crying about them while sleeping in the back of the impala because he feels so raw and heartbroken and thinks hes somehow failed at being a man and chalks it all up to John being too distant that week or Sam being gone.

the thing about Dean is it doesn't matter that he already has attachment issues you add like. romance or physical intimacy on top of his already ripe mess of a brain and he would go crazy about it.

the thing about destiel to me is that in season 4 they were already best friends who loved each other a lot despite being on opposite sides and manipulating each other. this is partially because they don't have friends so being a best friend isn't that hard and partially because they're insane freaks who don't know how to love in moderation.

im not dipping my toes into top/bottom discourse or theories bc i don’t want to get murdered, but I DO strongly believe that in a post confession political landscape, dean WOULD go down on cas first. mostly bc he’s sick in the head and homophobic and actively self objectifies himself, so he thinks that he “owes” it to cas to give him head first as both a proof of loyalty and as a reward (since dean feels guilty for stringing him along so long). and also bc he wants to hide how badly he’s freaking out, he rushes through the early bases. mmm ok send post.
