Because for so many of us, thatâs the first thing we see. We grow up with cartoons, they hold a certain place in our hearts so theyâll immediately get an emotional reaction when something happens to them. Some people canât get into animation and only see it as kidsâ stuff and thatâs a shame because a lot of kidsâ stuff is acting more adult recently. And with all the technology thatâs available to us now, we are seeing worlds that can exist much faster and much better looking than we ever imagined. Maybe thatâs why so many of these weird but brilliant stories are happening right now. We certainly had a couple here or there in the past but now, it seems like thereâs more than ever. And many of them are still going. They know now that they can do it and that people will watch and continue to watch. Their minds are open to being entertained but also questioned.Â

my reaction to the cursed child has basically been to immerse myself in A Very Potter Musical, which is completely canon in my head

Me: Haha, how dark can Bojack Horseman season 3 be, when they got Weird Al Yankovic to guest star!
Weird Alâs Character: Itâs so cruel to let people love you. All youâre doing is promising youâll one day break their hearts.
Me: Haha happiness is a lie
