You are suddenly able to see numbers above people’s heads which are counting down and you have no idea why. One person you meet reaches 0 and…
They sneeze. it then resets.

Me: “This won’t be weird or awkward at all.” Me: [vastly underestimated my ability to be weird and awkward]
Seriously, Rugrats was not fucking around.
People don’t give Rugrats enough credit for how progressive it was. I mean think about it.
Chuckie, for most of the series is raised by a single father
Angelica’s mother was a high ranking corporate executive
Phil and Lil’s mom was a feminist
She also breastfed them (which the show actually depicted)
Tommy is half-Jewish and the show actually explored this part of his heritage
Seriously, this show was fucking amazing!! They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore….
Also don’t forget that Chuckie had an interracial family after the second movie.
How are you guys forgetting Susie? I mean her mom was a doctor and her dad was a writer for a famous Children’s TV show. Not to mention Kimmie was anything BUT submissive.
Remember when they had episodes that hit hard to issues kids might be dealing with? Chuckie only had his Dad on Mothers Day, Tommy had to deal with being outshadowed by a new baby brother, Phil and Lil were constantly being mixed up and then they had a couple episodes where they each found that even as a twin they were their own people. Man Rugrats was the shit.
Go for it. Whether it ends good or bad, it was an experience.

When I see folks didn’t like Deadpool, I’m like whatever. People like different things. I don’t even like Deadpool as a character but the movie was dope. Anyway, if you didn’t like it because it was short or it felt cheap and underdeveloped, that’s because it was. It was kinda set up to fail. They were given the greenlight the way an impatient parent says ‘fine you can have a dog but if it pisses on the rug, I’m gonna shoot it.’ They had less than a year to complete the movie and were given a budget of 58 million when the average superhero movie budget is between $150-250 million. AND Fox had the nerve to take money out of the budget so they had to write around the money. So Deadpool only having a few bullets? Budget. Forgetting his guns in the car so he can’t use them in the final fight? Budget. Only 2 low profile X-men around, one of which had never been seen before? Budget. And they still managed to make crazy amounts of money and break all kinds of records. I just feel like it’s worth knowing whether you like it or not because I ended up liking the movie a lot more after knowing what they were working against. Deadpool is like the indie movie of this superhero shit
Hey guys look at this damn film nerd
Look at this film nerd pointing out this massive SUCCESS STORY.
Bonus points for Deadpool making massive amounts of money despite being released in a fucking DEADZONE and being rated R. An R rating automatically limits the audience, so it was basically kneecapped from the get-go because fewer people would even be able to see it. Releasing the movie in fucking February was a damn near deliberate attempt on its life. February is where movies go to die, ok, even the cheesy date movies don’t always make it out alive. They didn’t want this movie made in the first place, greenlit it to stop the nagging, gave it a ridiculously tiny budget and then CUT IT DOWN EVEN MORE later on forcing several very hurried bits of rewriting (this is where a few extra digs at the studio were added, because they fucking deserved it), tried to argue against an R rating and when that failed, they tried to kill it by dumping it in the fucking release date graveyard. And it still made ridiculous amounts of money. That’s like winning the Kentucky Derby on a 3-legged donkey; “Massive success” is a bit of an understatement.
everyone deserves to know someone who makes them go “!!!!!!!!!!!!” inside

I asked my nephew how old his dad was and he replied “six”. I said how can he only be six if you’re six?
He said “because he’s only been a dad since I was born”
A good ol’ Starbomb picture. Had fun drawing this even though it cut into me watching the awards show concert :p
Kind of want to sell this as a print but…IDK.
YALL YALLL YALL
so apparently guys call girls the second she gives them her number to make sure its the right one
when the fuck did this start happening?
like i saw it happen last night and my eyes literally got really wide
this some new level shit forreal
I feel like it started getting more popular in like the past 4-5 years? Coinciding with the rise of smartphones. Honestly and unfortunately your best bet is getting a Google voice so that you can give them a fake number that works and then you can just block them in the app. Dudes are disturbingly entitled and that’s probably the safest way to go about things right now.
It’s really gross that the only way that you can fully protect yourself is to do something you don’t wanna do. Also it doesn’t protect you from the core issue at hand or from those pushy guys that will ask for your phone so that they can put their number in themselves then proceed to call their phone from your phone (also becoming more popular).
You can also use Burner App! You can have multiple numbers for different purposes (ie. if you want one for douche guys, and guys you actually want to talk to) and when you’re done with it, you can trash the number completely. Your phone WILL ring if they call it, but when you get home you can just “release” that number and they’ll have no means of contacting you again.
^^^!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you know how fucking sad it is there has to be apps for women to use to give men fake numbers? Like how fucked up is this world where women gotta do that.
And I’m on mobile so I can’t post sources but before you say “BUT WHY DONT GIRLS JUST SAY NO?!?” Then you can look up (or someone can reblog this and put links) the literally hundreds of news articles of women being attacked and KILLED for refusing to give their number to an entitled man.

One of the best moments of my childhood.
I can’t even tell you how excited I was that they turned this book into a movie and it was good
I literally have absolutely no complaints with the movie at all. Once, my friend and I did comparisons from the book and the movie, and we found the only major difference was the fact that Stanley wasn’t heavy set when he arrived at the camp in the movie. The majority of the script is raw quotations from the book. This is my favorite book to movie adaptation and it did everything Percy Jackson, Inkheart, and The Golden Compass didn’t.
And the only reason Stanely wasn’t heavy set was because in the book he loses tons of weight and eventually ends up being almost thin. The director said he didn’t want to force an adolescent boy to lose weight on such a quick filming schedule, and L’bouf’s audition was so spot on, that they decided to go with a thinner Stanely from the beginning
And I’ll support directors actually giving a crap about their actor’s health.
