Some outtakes from a mini shoot at my friend Vince's office. He's the Creative Director for his company and I thought I'd snap him for a project. Chose a bunch of photos and applied some retro filters, which I think only made him and his dark glasses look like he really belonged in the 70s. Groovy!

After seeing all his shots, I asked Vince to take one of me against the windows too! Say cheese!

Would you believe this is the first ever s'more I've had in my life? I was never a marshmallow person to begin that's why. Well, this pretty awesome one from the Mr. Delicious booth at the Manly Eats food fair in Podium made it all so worth it for me. After taking a bite, my friend Wanggo was like, "I have no idea what's going on inside my mouth but this tastes amazing!". I particularly liked the sweetly burnt taste of the marshy and the saltiness of the bacon altogether. I wonder if I can make these at home?

Random shoot at home after discovering an empty Absolut bottle I kept! Props used: an iPhone for lighting and some black shirts for the backdrop. Ta-daaaah!

Ukkokei is THE original super yummy ramen place in Manila before all these noodle joints started popping up around town. The Tantanmen is their ultimate best seller but when that’s not available, you must order the Butter Corn Miso Soup as seen above! That thick slice of butter melts and mixes with the already tasty broth, making it even more sinfully deleeesh. Add in a few pork slices and dozens of corn kernels and you got yourself a winner! Sluuuurp!

I think I died a little bit inside when I read this quote. Quite frankly, I like the idea of the "right regrets", or rather, the difficult choices we are forced to make in our lives that we sometimes look back upon. Everyone always loves to say "No regrets!" but come on. We all have some and it's nothing to be ashamed of. I think this is where the "right regrets" part comes in. 

And the haunting voices in our heads. Did I really make the right decision? Was it a smart move? What the HELL were you thinking??

Damn demons.

But as with all choices, we have to live with the consequences and trust our gut that it all works out in the end. Of course, this is considering that the choice was not done hastily and most importantly, was made with good intentions.

So perhaps that's where one can find the comfort in: the thought that a particular choice, no matter how difficult, was made because it was the right thing to do at that exact time. 

And whether or not it does turn out to be the best decision we make always remains to be seen. All we can really hope for is that we end up with the right regrets.

No rest for the weary! I must be crazy but I took on a photo assignment for a print ad that required me to shoot from the middle of a highway! Good thing I had a "bodyguard" who helped chase the cars behind me away while I hobbled around! Hehe!

Yeah I know I look totally bionic with my knee brace. Have to wear this baby around for about a month or so tops. It looks worse that it feels, trust me. Still, that doesn't stop people from acting nicer to me these days. (And going through a frenzied panic whenever I cross the room. Har!)
