The final video of my LED Matrix project ! Works great :)
My last project :). A red LED matrix display, controlled by Bluetooth ! Just turn it on, download a Bluetooth terminal on your Android Smartphone, connect to it and there you go ! Send any message you want (250 char. max) ! Controled by an Arduino Nano. It uses the HC-06 Bluetooth module and two Red LED matrix with 74hc595 chip !
To avoid draining the battery, I clear the neopixel strip after displaying the color ! The reset button of the arduino is use to read another color by restarting the program.
Today I played with my new XBEEs, some Neopixels and the TCS34725 color sensor from Adafruit ! One XBEE is configured as an End Point (the one with Neopixels), the other as Coordinator (color sensor) ! After each reset, the arduino Coordinator reads the value from the color sensor and send 3 bytes to the Arduino End Point (byte 1: red, byte 2: green, byte 3: blue). Then, those 3 bytes are send to the Neopixel strip to be displayed as mixed colors !
I also buyed storage boxes for my electronic components and modules.. I’ll try to keep everything in order ... at least for two days.
Right now I’m just tryin to communicate between two Arduinos on my local network.. The code works O.K ! Now I need to learned a bit about HTML and CSS for my web server page.. *roll my sleeves up*
Yay ! I buyed myself some Arduino-compatible communication devices ! :) I’m currently working on a domotic system based on the Arduino Ethernet Shields, relays and sensors ! I’ll show you more later ;)
Done ! My “Trust Your Technolust” Bluetooth LE controled sign is finally done :D I made an Android application to control the light’s colors and animations. It is controled by an Arduino compatible board, and uses Neopixel strips and the Bluetooth EZ-LINK ! It runs on battery, up to 8 hours depending on the animation and light displayed ;)
O-oh ! My first project is on its way ! It’s going to be shiny and colorfull ! Well ok, for now it’s pretty much dark. Stay tuned for more coming soon ;)
