âYou thought about how we would meet often?â he couldnât help but ask, a hint of amusement on his tone as his lips curled into a smile. She was beautiful, sweet, and didnât send him out â Thomas was sure if he could, he would be blushing furiously by now. But he only gave a soft nod of his head, placing his hand inside his pocket as he stepped inside, trying not to glance around the room. It wouldnât be proper, to invade her privacy like this. Perhaps he should have called first. An amused chuckle escaped his lips, and he shook his head, smiling at her. âOh, itâs quite alright. Iâm fond of nsync as well. They are â great." He was nervous, but the joke was easy on his tongue, even despite the butterflies filling his ribcage, his stomach. His blood felt colder than usual, and Thomas swallows through a mouthful of words and knots, placing the bag down on the first table he found.Â
"Iâm sorry for coming unannounced," he started, rubbing the back of his neck. He was feeling nervous, unsure of what to do with himself. He shouldâve planned this better, Thomas was sure of that, but he has always been a tad impulsive, and the curiosity was gnawing at him. "I didnât mean to assume you would want to talk me. â Or force you to! I swear â I just thought we should meet. I can wish, if you wish me to, of course ââ he dropped his hand, waving it in the direction of the door, before placing it in his pocket as well ââbut I think we do need to talk, donât we?â
âi -- i actually, i mean -â a nervous, awkward chuckle, the girl then gave up and nodded. âwell, yeah.â she admitted, despite him quite able to blush, her cheeks getting a deep rosy color instantly. she wasnât someone too shy, but quite awkward, and that often ended up in her being embarrassed and feeling shy and anxious about her own actions. it also didnât help that he had a face out of magazines, standing tall there, and she was meant to marry him. oh heavens, just how much she wanted this to go right and maybe even... gosh, elena - itâs too early to think about feelings! her inner voice reminded her, his easy chuckle helping her nerves a bit as she laughed along. ânot the backstreet boys type of guy, then?â she asked with a grin, taking a deep breath as she realized he didnât find her that awkward, at least.
once inside, elena moved a few pillows on the couch to make more room for them to sit, listening to him at the same time. âhey -- hey, itâs okay.â elena realized he was a lot more nervous than she was, which made her want to do something to make him feel better and relaxed, and hope that she wasnât being too close already by doing that. but she just walked up to him and placed her hands on his upper arms, gently guiding him down onto the couch, a smile on her face. âi do want to talk with you, alright? like you said -- been thinking about this for quite a few times.â she said, smile turning into an easygoing grin before she started to pull out some of the food so that they could have some snack as they talked, but elena wasnât sure if she could stop gazing at his face or focus on anything else long enough to actually eat. settling beside him finally, she turned her head to look at him, thinking that it wasnât fair that he was too damn charming and hoping for the best that she would be able to speak without stuttering. âyeah, so... uh... i donât know where to start. iâm... not really an exciting individual, you see.â she chuckled quietly and nervously. âis there anything youâd like to know, though?â
