         "Oh yes," Benvolio agreed, arching his brow comically. "I don't think I can take yet another musical. Of course, the songs are great, but children, you know? They will sing the same song for months, and it can drive someone mad."

Irina had wandered outside the hotel finally, for the first time since being switched back from whatever universe she was in. She wanted to relish being back in New Orleans and being without her husband for the better part of ten days. She relished the slightly chilly night air, how beautiful the stars looked even from the city lights muting them. 

When someone spoke…it was too familiar. It was a voice she hadn’t heard in nearly six hundred years.

Ivan. It couldn’t be. He was dead, long dead, she had looked and he was dead. Lost at sea. They hadn’t found his body. Ivan Antanasov. 

“What are you doing here?”

         The voice was familiar, and it bothered Thomas how he couldn't understand why. It carried itself with hostility, though, and Thomas was deeply confused, a frown decorating his face as he stared at the woman, trying to reach inside his mind to remember from where he knows her. Nothing came, and he just shrugged, taking a step back. "Same as everyone else," he said simply, not wanting to be rude. "Aren't we all here for the marriages?"

As soon as her surprise filtered away, the smell of wet dog struck her senses. It was a stench that she could not stand - but she was never hateful towards her werewolf counterparts. Nor the witches. A thousand years taught her the only incredibly foolish idea her fellow supernaturals liked to entertain was the idea of superiority between the races. Such a human mistake, really. Vivian caught the blush that passed the blonde’s face just as quickly as she turned around, amused by the embarrassment on the other’s behalf. “No need to apologize, dear,” the English woman assured, humoring the girl with a sly tone of voice, “I didn’t spend two hundred on this for it not to be seen.” Beyond the smell, Vivian could hear a distinct heartbeat drumming some feet away from her. The sound always served to remind her of her own humanity. “I’m better than fine,” the vampire hummed casually, considering what she had just come from. The brunette wandered closer to the blonde, footsteps silent as she did. “But you look a little worse for wear,” she finally said beside the werewolf, fingertips reaching for the girl’s chin to gently draw her face back towards her, “What happened to that darling face of yours?”

         "Two hundred?" she asked, disregarding her embarrassment briefly, curiosity blooming in her chest. "Years or money? Because if you spent two hundred years on that, that's truly impressive. And it's paying off." She glanced over her shoulder, catching another glimpse of the woman. Her cheeks turned a darker shade of red, and Demetra was quick to avert her eyes, foolishly trying to focus on the wallpaper instead. Giving a soft nod of her head, Demetra cleared her throat once again. She cursed herself for being so weak around women, as she could feel her heart hammering against her ribcage. Still, she took pride in the fact she didn't jump or shiver when the vampire touched her. A humorous snort fell from her lips, and she finally looked at the woman. She was glad for the change of subject, for she could focus on something else other than the woman's garments. "Wolves don't fight fair," she replied, lips curling into a charming smirk, "but I'm quite alright. Despite the dog smell." She nodded her chin in the direction of the door, tilting her head to the side slightly. "Did you have a fun night?"

She wasn’t sure how much he knew and Adelaide also wasn’t sure how much she wanted him to know. But family were family and if he asked she wouldn’t hesitate to tell him anything about her past and what it was like to be her. “I um. I’m good. As good as I can be in a city like this.” There were a lot of vampires and she was slowly adjusting to that fact, as much as she usually tried to keep a brave face.

         "As good as you can be in a city like this?" he asked, not bothering to keep the worry out of his voice. He was past the point of caring for a facade he didn't need anymore. She was family, and he worried about her already. He didn't want to pull her in the mess that was their family, but if she asked, he wouldn't deny her the knowledge. "Is something troubling you?"

Finn: Felicity, it wasn't your fault. You were not yourself that week. I'm not sure what happened, but it wasn't you.

  Elaine took a breath and hit ‘send’, hoping with every ounce of her being that Freyja didn’t already hate her for what had happened ad bracing herself for Freyja’s response if she did. It was possibility. Elaine already hated herself for it. As she waited for a reply or the knock at her door, Elaine examined the dozen roses she’d prepared for Freyja in case she did show up. She’d barely left her house in the week following the madness, but she’d forced herself to go out and buy these as an apology, knowing flowers weren’t enough for trying to fucking kill her wife. She winced again, remembering how much she’d wanted to hurt Freyja, to humiliate her. And she waited, lost in her own helplessness and self-loathing.

         Freyja stared at Elaine's text, her stomach twisting and turning. Her heart treated to beat fast, something akin to regret tugging it, forcing it to move after nearly a millennium of staying dead. She still could feel the bittersweet taste of power, of madness, in her mouth; it has wrapped around her skin, crawled inside her bones, ran through her veins. She was terrified, of the person she was. Of who she could become. Terrified of the moments she was reminded how it felt to be powerful again; terrified of the faint voice in her head telling how much that was what she wanted. How much she missed it. But how she reacted to Elaine -- It disgusted her. Freyja couldn't see herself not loving Elaine; no matter the century, the circumstances, or the universe. But, apparently, that week she wanted to hurt Elaine, and she wouldn't blake her wife if she hated Freyja now. With a sigh, she stood up, grabbing the box she kept her father's ring in, placing in the pocket of her robe and made her way to Elaine's room, knocking softly. "My darling," she called out, taking a deep breath.

There was a part of Adelaide that wanted to run. Her close family were the people that she loved more than anything but after speaking with her mother she wasn’t too sure that meeting with Gael was too good of an idea. But she wanted to, she wanted to speak to him and hear about his life– maybe tell him a bit about what had happened to her but now that she was waiting it was terrifying. She almost made a move to leave when she saw the man approaching. “Hi.”

         Gael wasn't sure if he should meet with the girl; they were family, yes, but were they really? His sister had her reasons to never tell the girl about them, about anything about their coven or how they worked. And yet, despite knowing it was not a good idea, part of him wanted to get to know her. He always cared about family, above anything else, so it wasn't really a surprise, how he found himself going to the place they had agreed to meet, a smile on his face when he approached her. "Hey. How -- How are you doing?"

     when her eyes landed on the attractive man standing before her, elena felt terribly embarrassed within a second. she was still in her pyjamas with her hair a mess of curls cascading onto her shoulders despite it being late afternoon already. and ‘bye bye bye’ blasting from the room only moments ago which he most likely heard wasn’t making it any easier for the girl to feel relaxed enough. though, what made her suck in a deep breath and barely avoid a gasp escape her lips was when he said his name – so, this was her fiance. the man who she had been wondering about ever since she got back into the town, curious as to what he was like or if he’d even come seek her out. and now, she clearly got her answer to the latter.

     quickly focusing on the huge bag of food, though, elena managed to forget about the shocking information she just got out of the man and her lips formed into a bright smile, actually both amused and amazed by that. while she wanted to chuckle at how adorably amusing it was, she also noted that he was considerate enough to give her options - lots of them, actually. “well this… is a lot better than how i imagined our first meeting would be.” opening the door wider, she stepped out of the way and gently held his upper arm to guide him inside. had it been anyone else coming to her door like that it’d be quite awkward to just take them into her room like that but this man was the one she was to marry and seemed to be nice enough so far so she didn’t mind. “come in – and oh, excuse the mess i just… i was… actually there’s no mature explanation for nsync.” she let out a soft chuckle, feeling a bit nervous. “so uh - make yourself at home. you can put the bag down wherever you want.” she said, starting to feel a bit excited and anxious at the same time. “it’s so lovely of you to come with food - that’s a win.” she chuckled lightly again, shaking her head. “so uh… i guess we eat and get to know each other, now?”

        "You thought about how we would meet often?" he couldn't help but ask, a hint of amusement on his tone as his lips curled into a smile. She was beautiful, sweet, and didn't send him out -- Thomas was sure if he could, he would be blushing furiously by now. But he only gave a soft nod of his head, placing his hand inside his pocket as he stepped inside, trying not to glance around the room. It wouldn't be proper, to invade her privacy like this. Perhaps he should have called first. An amused chuckle escaped his lips, and he shook his head, smiling at her. "Oh, it's quite alright. I'm fond of nsync as well. They are --- great." He was nervous, but the joke was easy on his tongue, even despite the butterflies filling his ribcage, his stomach. His blood felt colder than usual, and Thomas swallows through a mouthful of words and knots, placing the bag down on the first table he found. 

     "I'm sorry for coming unannounced," he started, rubbing the back of his neck. He was feeling nervous, unsure of what to do with himself. He should've planned this better, Thomas was sure of that, but he has always been a tad impulsive, and the curiosity was gnawing at him. "I didn't mean to assume you would want to talk me. -- Or force you to! I swear --- I just thought we should meet. I can wish, if you wish me to, of course --" he dropped his hand, waving it in the direction of the door, before placing it in his pocket as well --"but I think we do need to talk, don't we?"

Anastasia watched someone walk down the sidewalk, eyes glued down and her eyebrow quirked. That was weirder than his wardrobe choice. “If you’re trying to get your head out of your ass, it’s almost there.”

         "I'm not trying to get my head out of my ass," he said, scoffing as he looked up at the woman. He placed his arms in front of him to cover himself, licking his lips. "I'm just enjoying a day out. Is that a bad thing?"
