She's an OC I created in 2018, a co-protagonist in the story I had planned. Originally, it was a simple school slice-of-life story with a touch of mystery. The changes that came to mind when I decided to redraw it involved shifting the setting to a more tragic and melancholic atmosphere mixed with the aesthetics of psychological horror. Other characters would no longer have as much of a role or would simply be dropped from the story. The main character remained the same, and "e.c." (the OC in the image) would be her own character, already "damaged" from the start.The story revolved around an outcast boy (the main character) who accidentally enters a school-themed video game but discovers strange things happening within it. A girl ("e.c.") arrives to help him finish the game so he can leave, confronting other secondary characters who torment him with their own problems.The plot would be almost the same, with some differences:
• The Main Character has to finish the game, which is composed of rounds, each focusing on a different character. The Main Character's role is to befriend the character by doing favors they request, although as the round progresses, each character ends up revealing an internal problem.
• The Main Character doesn't have to rescue anyone; they simply complete the game out of a desire to escape before being consumed by something unreal (the Main Character's reality is that they have no mother and their father is absent due to work; in the fictional world, they have both parents and feel loved, but even so, they aren't entirely convinced).
• "e.c." presents herself to the Main Character as a strange character. The Main Character makes it clear from the start that he is a real person, but "e.c." continues to address him as just another character, "reminding" him of his objectives in the game. She offers to guide him, but in reality, she will try to sabotage him so he doesn't leave, as she has become obsessed with him.
• As the rounds progress, "e.c."'s appearance becomes more corrupt and aggressive towards the Main Character each time he mentions his desire to leave the game.
• When "e.c."'s plan is discovered by the Main Character, she adopts a more broken appearance (her image in red), abruptly "ending" the game by eliminating the other characters and trapping the Main Character in the school. This shifts the game's subplot (and the overall story) to him having to escape her in order to get out. After that, he must deal with her sudden mood swings, eventually becoming her jester. (Considering she's fictional and he's human, his "humanity" amuses her, and that's where her obsession with him comes from.)
- Before all of the above, among the secondary characters I haven't drawn yet, there was one in particular who also seemed to be conscious within the game, desiring to feel real. However, due to the sudden change caused by "e.c.", he's eliminated. (That's where the "tragic" part of the story comes in: a nonexistent character wanting to be real to feel real emotions.)
