IVY GRAVES.
Location: Serenity Salon
Ivy had been sweeping the floors when she heard the door chime “Welcome to the Salon, give me just a moment.” She bent down to sweep hair into a dustpan and dump it. “What can I do for you today? Cut, color or illegal tattoo?”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena hardly ever let anyone touch her hair, but she was in desperate need of a cut and restyle to fix some of the grown out layers she had. As she walked into the salon she gave the woman a smile. “Hi.” Giving a slight wave, before letting her hand drop to her side. “Well I’m here for a cut, but now I’m wondering if I should be concerned about this illegal tattoo. You all aren’t trying to put me out of business now are you?” Elena teased. “Although if you’re looking to change jobs we can make that illegal tattoo actually legal with the proper license.”
LEYLA BINICI.
⋅𖥔⋅ ━━✶━━ ⋅𖥔⋅
Leyla sat there, feet dangling high above the ground from where she was perched on her kitchen countertop. Her head resting lightly back against the cabinet as the tips of her fingers mindlessly ran across the rim of the coffee mug in hand. A half hearted smile of her own playing at the corner of her lips as Elena wandered through the open layout of the penthouse she called an apartment over to her. “Guess so,” Leyla found herself murmuring out even though things felt hardly ‘right’ to her right now. She could still practically feel his hand wrapped around his throat as his teeth had torn through her skin and, although she now looked good as knew- any wounds she once held had been healed over with the vampire blood she had ingested and after a shower or two and fresh face of make up and clothes, one would be none the wiser to that she had nearly died only a little bit ago. And not just that- the vampire whom had been hunting her for centuries was now dead himself. She didn’t know if she should feel upset or relieve after everything that had gone down at the fae castle, but whichever it didn’t really matter, because at the moment all Leyla found herself feeling is numb.
“I don’t really know? Honestly, before everything, the idea of dying? Of him you know-ing me before I turned thirty-five seemed like not enough time? But, now? Five years from now weirdly seems like a life time away?” She admitted, having once upon a time, been the type of girl who had everything figured out. She used to know exactly where she’d be in the next five and ten and twenty years. She used to know what she wanted and had a path all figured out. But, now, she was just happy to have today and maybe tomorrow. “But, right now, I’m thinking about maybe going to get one of those frozen hot chocolates from Serendipity? I always wanted to try, but kept on putting it off for some reason. And Yeah? Me too. Even if I don’t exactly fully remember all of those other times.”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena walked nervously around the room as she put her hands in her pockets, this was a day that was so surreal she was waiting for the other shoe to drop. To find out this was all fake and another dream, that Kaan was really back. “Sorry if I’m making this weird.” She apologized before taking a seat in a chair. “Just I don’t know. I always thought eventually this moment would happen, but it seemed so distant and impossible.” She admitted. While she was glad that this time was different, a part of her did sting because she hadn’t been able to help stop Kaan. Maybe it was jealousy or just the need to see he was truly gone forever. “Sorry I never was able to get rid of him sooner, but you seem to have such an amazing group around you. I’m glad this time is different for you.”
“Understandable. You just got a whole new lease on life and being a fae means that life is as long as you want it to be.” While her life at times had sucked she refused to regenerate, figuring that despite how awful it may be that it would eventually get better. She had been right for the most part, things had turned around now she was at least content and somewhat happy with her life. “That sounds fair. Do you want company there or do you already have plans?” Elena asked, she didn’t want to impose if Layla had already made plans. “Maybe because if you went it was just one more thing off the bucket list that brought you closer to death?” Elena guessed. “Either way though no time like the present to do everything you ever wanted.” She told her with a soft chuckle. “So besides Serendipity what is one thing in this city you’ve never done but wanted to? I mean there has to be some kind of activity to go with frozen hot chocolate right?”
MARCO BANKS.
Marco hadn’t meant to sit by anyone, nor was he in the mood for a conversation. Snapping his head to look at her his eyes glared. The coldness he never gave off up until these last few days appearing with no emotion behind it. “Does it look like I give a flying fuck? Can you not just sit still without asking me any questions and mind your damn business?” He snapped, a huff soon leaving his lips as he crossed his arms and slumped where he was seated. “And while you’re at it, would it kill you to order something to drink around here? I think I need a water.”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena looked over at the person next to her and raised an eyebrow at him. Half wanting to take a vine or branch from around them and shut him up with it. “Okay asshole.” Elena rolled her eyes. “You didn’t have to sit here. You are welcome to simply just leave.” She gestured for him to get up and leave from the park bench where she’d been seated first. “This isn’t exactly a place to order drinks or food, it’s a park.” She reminded him with a blank look. “If you need water then once more I urge you to leave and take that attitude with you.” Picking back up her pencil as she went back to sketching. “Seriously what the hell is wrong with you.”
DEVIN KHAN.
⋅𖥔⋅ ━━✶━━ ⋅𖥔⋅
“Um, you’re welcome? But, what’s with the formalities? Pretty sure, we know each other well enough to skip the whole board meeting vibes, don’t you?” Devin teased, quirking up a brow at Elena’s cold demeanor. “And that’s fine? Not like I really need to eat regardless,” She pointed out with an eased shrug. Only, Elena’s next statement, had the clan leader raising a brow, “Wait- you were talking to Selene?” Ah. She had been talking to Alina, Devin realized. Great. Just fucking great. A deep sigh breaking from her lips as she moved to lean back against the edge of her desk. “Okay, well for one thing, that wasn’t Selene which is a whole other story we can definitely delve into, which reminds me, you’ll be happy to know Kaan is dead by the way. He was the one causality from the whole, well you know- but, in terms of me having a whole husband ages ago, you knew that? That’s not exactly news?”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“I figured formalities is what we were back to considering the fact your keeping things from me.” Elena replied with an unamused look. It wasn’t that she was bad, okay she was a tad jealous. But there was a part of her that found herself hurt over the fact Devin once more chose to not tell her something. “Yes, at that shit show of a Valentine’s Day event.” Selene hadn’t exactly been the friendly person she’d encountered at the event either, considering she threatened to make the already difficult relationship with Devin worse. “What do you mean it wasn’t Selene?” Elena asked, ignoring the fact about Karan being dead for the moment, despite how much she did want to celebrate. “I’m aware of Kaan’s passing. As much as I would like to celebrate I understand this is a loss for you and not the time or place.” It was tacky to celebrate the loss of a life in front of Devin, despite how much pain that life had caused her life. “Yes, but I wasn’t aware he was alive and back Devin. You kind of forgot to mention that little tid bit.” Giving the other woman a disapproving look. “Is there something going on between you two? Is this why you didn’t mention him?”
KIYA SUWAN.
• ━━━━━━༻❁༺━━━━━━ •
Coffee in hand, Kiya sat down on the bench. The park was particularly crowded today and this bench still had the other side opened. Things had been busy this morning, juggling both Khan Cosmetics and Devin’s latest annoyance. She just left Devin to her devices and with a grin that was a stark difference to the serious situation she had left, she promised to bring them back some coffee. But, it’d taken less time than she expected to get the coffee. Kiya would give Devin a little more time before going back to join her. “Dating.” Kiya studied the couple the woman indicated to. “See how her knee keeps brushing against his?”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena looked over towards Kiya with a smile, she tapped her pen on the sketch pad. “Interesting observation.” Noticing that her knee was brushing his, but Elena questioned if it truly meant anything. “I mean it could be accidental?” She remarked with a shrug before brushing her knee against Kiya’s. “See? I’m not sure it gives us solid proof when it comes to dating.” She remarked before crossing her leg over the other and balancing her sketch pad on her lap. “Although people do tend to date those who look like them.” Putting her pencil away in the spine of her book, she continued to stare at the couple. “I mean you’re probably right, but still could totally by them as siblings or maybe even friends?”
@darkesthourstarters
Elena continued to work away at the sketch pad on her lap while she sat on the park bench studying the people around her. She’d been working on the couple across from her for the last hour while they sat there talking. Looking over at the person who had sat down on the same bench as her, she lifted her pencil from the paper. “So that couple in front of us do you think they’re siblings or dating? I’ve been trying to tell for the last hour. They look a lot alike, but seem to be having an intense conversation which is throwing me off.” She admitted with a laugh. “What is your verdict on them?”
@beasramos
“Can you fill up my glass again while you’re up please?” Elena asked holding up her glass to Bea when she got up. With everything going on it had been a minute since they’d actually got to bond, but with Kaan gone things felt more normal. Like she could actually enjoy her time without waiting for him to pop up and take out Leyla for whatever number of times they were at this time. “So I heard you got inducted into the fae court at least during our hellish weekend. At least that cat is out of the bag.” Elena remarked with a laugh. “Did they go over everything with you or do you have questions?”
@ah-inxpark
“What about this?” Elena asked as she pulled the object out of the box and held it for Ah-In to see. They’d been trying to merge their things since moving in together, while Elena was use to always having her own place she figured that in this life time she might as well try something different. Try to not be as lonely as she had been. What she hadn’t planned for was an actual person with things, having to put some of hers away in one of her many storage units. “You know it’s been a really long time since I’ve had roommates, but it’s kinda nice having another person around.” She admitted softly. “Sorry if I suck at this compromising our stuff thing, just-- I’ve had a lot of this for probably longer than you’ve been alive.”
@swearonstars (Leyla Binici)
Elena walked into the apartment and gave Leyla a half hearted smile with a weak wave. She knew better than anyone it was tacky to be celebrating the loss of a life, but when that life had not only killed you but someone you cared about repeatedly it was hard to feel anything but joy. “Looks like this time around everyone finally got it right.” She had to admit it did sting that none of her efforts had worked, that she hadn’t got to be the one to save Leyla, instead continuously let her die. “So what are you planning to do with the rest of your life? You finally get to make it past thirty-five for once.” Elena remarked with a smile, she tucked her hair behind her ear. “I’m really glad that this time won’t be a repeat.”

LIVIA CROMWELL.
⋅𖥔⋅ ━━✶━━ ⋅𖥔⋅
“That’s fair. I forgot about that one and very funny,” Liv rolled her eyes playfully over at Elena’s comment. “But, that was a different top. Believe it or not, I have a collection of scarves and bandanas I try to pass off as clothing,” She joked. “I mean you don’t have to tell me twice, but I should warn you, I’m already a few drinks in.”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“It’s basically one big down side to being a dryad, but it also does have the benefit of making every conversation you have be rather honest. Even if the other person didn’t intent for it to be.” She remarked off handedly with a shrug. While some considered it a useful trait she considered it more of an annoyance in circumstances like this. “Oh really now. Are most of them green or do you have them in every color of the rainbow? I’m just wondering if you have a secret favorite color.” Questioning the woman across from her. “Well I’m exactly none in so we better hurry and get me caught up to you.”
ATHENA DECKER.
Athena was rifling through the costumes while Elena spoke, turning around to give the woman a smile. “I’m sue it’ll look great,” she assured the woman. “And even if it doesn’t, this whole idea is very fun.” She smiled before pulling out a red, beaded dancer’s outfit. “Oh uh, to be honest I kinda just want this photo for my boyfriend. Not that I have a problem with other people seeing it– I’m just not going to be upset if I don’t get in the official calendar. Though…” she cocked her head, thinking. “Bragging right are sexy right?” She shook her head, “I don’t think Hollis is like that but I don’t know. I just want to give him something different.” She looked back at all the costumes. “Now if I just knew what I wanted to dress as…”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena had to admit that Athena was the first person who had believed in her abilities all day and hadn’t complained. “Well thank you for the compliment.” Actually giving the other woman a smile, the compliment did help up her confidence. “Well I promise I’ll make the photos and this as fun as possible.” In reality most of the photos had ended up pretty well anyways, it was just a few that had ended up well rather tragic. “Oh-- well we can totally do a private photoshoot since the sexy photos for the calendar are really only for the singles anyways.” Elena explained, before grabbing the other camera that was off to the side. “They did tell me I could do couples photos so that’s what this one is for. More private for you all and the photos can be taken directly with you.” Pulling out a fresh memory card as she inserted it into the camera and got it ready. “Well what is he into? Nurses? Dancers? Or does he have any hobbies?”
ALINA KHAN.
“Oh, Twiggy, the first thing you should know about me is that I don’t have any bad angles,” Alina told her forthright, flashing her a grin as she continued to pose for the other, despite her patience quickly waining thin. “You can try to make excuses all you want, but more talkie, less doie. So, you can continue to be the slug that you are or you can actually do something with all of this time you seem to have no problem whittling away? Might be nice to have a change of pace, don’t you think?” She pointed out as she shifted her pose once more. “And I’m not asking you to. All I’m saying is that with her husband back in town, your chances of winning her over are quickly dwindling and I thought I’d, I don’t know, help you out? I mean, as you not so gracefully pointed out, Devin would do anything for her family. But, don’t take my suggestion. See how far you get on your own. After all, it’s been working so well for you for the past how many years exactly?”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
Elena wanted to counter that everyone had a bad angle, she’d found most of them today; but rather than argue with Selene she let it go. Figuring it wasn’t worth the fight it would cause since Selene clearly thought she was perfect. “I’m taking the pictures Selene.” She informed her, clicked the camera once more. Not caring a bit how the photo of Selene looked. “Also I do have something to do with all this time, it’s called an actual job I’m good at.” She hissed back. Feeling slightly insecure over Alina comment, she’d worked hard to build a life for herself and to give herself purpose, especially when she’d felt so purposeless all these years. That was until Selene mentioned Devin’s husband who was suppose to be dead, which caused Elena to drop the camera she’d been holding onto. “I’m sorry what? Her husband is dead Selene. Why would he be back?” Elena questioned. Not even bothering with the camera on the floor as she looked over at Devin’s sister. Which she knew there was truth in the words Selene said, that Devin would do anything for her family, she found herself wondering if she’d also do it for her now not dead husband. “I am... I gotta go Selene, feel free to do whatever....” She told her as she turned around with slight confusion on her face and began walking towards to door in the hopes that she could find Devin and get some answers to all of this.
@swearonstars (Devin Khan)
“Hey thanks for meeting me, just thought we should talk.” Elena remarked with a cold tight lipped smile. “I would offer for us to eat, but pretty sure it’s not needed.” Putting her hands on the table. “So I was talking to Selene and well.....” Remarking too Devin to at least hint where this conversation was going. “She happened to mention that the whole husband you had ages ago isn’t actually dead and you’re still married. Is that the truth? Or is he actually dead and she’s fucking with me?”

ROSE THOMASON.
As soon as she’d heard about the competition, Rose had rushed over to get her picture taken. Now she was thinking through the props and costumes, trying to figure out something that would perfectly hug her figure and give her the sex appeal she knew everybody would be looking for. “Is it July or August that’s the hottest day of the year? That’s the month I’m going for. Now how much skin are we allowed to show for this?”
─── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
“Well the hottest day of the year generally is in August. At least according to the last like three hundred years I’ve been alive.” She remarked with a laugh. “As much as you want? I mean they didn’t really leave me with much direction? I would just say probably keep the privates covered, but whatever else you want to show up go for it.” She shrugged, it wasn’t like they’d explained how they wanted this done, they’d just assigned her to this room when she showed up. “What are you thinking about wearing? Or not wearing I guess?”
