Stages of Writing a Big Research Paper
As told by Dean Winchester gifs. Just because.
Stage one: Realizing you might have a big paper due sooner than you thought.
Stage two: realizing that the PAPER IS DUE TOMORROW! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
Step three: Denial. Eh, you’ve got this. You work well under pressure, right?
Step four: Over confidence. You’re a paper-writing MACHINE.
Step five: attempt to write, but not really.
Step six: time for a snack break. You’ve been working hard.
Step seven: you start to feel sleepy.
Step eight: you start to feel angry. What’s the point of his paper anyway?
Step nine: you turn to your friends for moral support. But they can’t help you. They’re too busy scrolling through facebook and watching Netflix. They’re just as pathetic as you are, and you both know it.
Step ten: panic.
Step eleven: Cry. By now you’ve accepted your fate. This paper is really going to happen.
Step twelve: you question EVERYTHING about your life. Will you survive this? Will life go on if you don’t finish this paper? Maybe. Maybe not.
Step thirteen: cry some more. Just let it out.
Step fourteen: actually try to start writing for real. It’s slow at first. Baby steps.
Step fifteen: get in the zone and truly work. You stop checking your word count. You’re actually writing. You actually know this. You can actually survive this day.
Step sixteen: celebrate the glorious feeling of finishing that paper. Like a boss.
Congratulations. You’re awesome.
