A comeback (sort of)

Yo, so how’s the Sims community these days? I’ve been inactive for soooo long now that I can scarcely remember how to use Tumblr or how to follow anyone.

Long story short. I’ve been to uni, moved across the Europe and found a job. Got my hands on TS4 aaaand I was disappointed. Very much. Other than that some of you might know I went into Tera Online at the time but that obsession is over now too. In between Tera I’ve played Elder Scrolls Online until eventually landing me a PS4 and leaving PC games for good. That opens a new chapter in my life which is still pretty active - console games. Destiny holds a special place there plus some of the other titles as Skyrim Remastered or Horizon Zero Dawn. Now I’ve installed back all my TS3 games and I’m having a blast playing. I stopped before the release of University Life so now I’m catching up on the expansions. I do own a base game of TS4 but it’s still not enough for me to kepp playing it, not without the expansions and at the moment I do not own any (open for gifts tho *wink wink*). But on a serious note, I am still unsure if I’ll be making CC for it or not. Maybe once I have enough expansions to keep me occupied with it. The other news - I do not have my old CC folder so if anyone wants some of my old uploads that aren’t available - well sorry guys but gone is gone.

Mostly you might find me on Mod The Sims if I’ll upload some new Sims 3 stuff. If you wish to convert that then let me know, I’d like to see my stuff in TS4 maybe it’ll help me decide on making CC for it.

Good news. I might release some of my old stuff that has been sitting there finished for so much time since my obsession with Tera ended few months ago (phew, finally...). I've been away from Sims world for so long now that I missed all the important stuff, derp. What was that thing that happened with TSR?... No idea. Finally I decided to jump on this new Sims 4 bandwagon and check all the things out and what do you know, I wasn't very excited about it if I can put it this way. I see people talking left and right about how it's better/worse looking than Sims 3 and I had to take only one look and tell you that there's gonna be big downgrades from Sims 3 in the CAS department...

You might say that they look neat and have beautiful faces and all those bouncy new sliders and whatnot, but one thing struck me from the first moment. No alpha channels anywhere. Basically this means we're gonna have no transparency in hair, which is gonna leave you stuck with weird hair streaks that are always glued together in sharp angles at the tips... Not sure how fixable this will be with CC, but seeing your sims having an eyelashes that look like perm liquid liner is also a downside from Sims 3 level. Even base Sims 3 game had transparency in the eyelashes.

Secondly, the Sims 4 faces (and I mean in terms of details in 3D models) don't differ from Sims 3. The shading and lighting of the game sure makes a big difference, but even looking at the small details like face textures and blurry makeup leave me disappointed...

I am sure the developers invested a lot of work into the gameplay and it's too early to judge about things from just a few pictures and videos, but I only judge the CAS part in here which we saw a good portion of. Hair is one of the things I check out first and it's the most disappointing thing so far. Not sure about how CAST would be implemented there or if at all...

TL:DR

You can get some shiny pritties any time soon from me and hair in Sims 4 sucks.

I didn't make it because I haven't reached any follower milestone yet (I suppose this is why the gifts are made on Simblrs). I'm definitely up to make a gift for existing followers though once my interest in this game comes back.

The dress is EA's, unlocked with "unlockoutfits" cheat. I think it requires one of the EP's, but I can't tell which one atm. The blade is by Rosesims, it's an accessory.

If you are referring to the older pics of her, then it's Ephemera's NV1 Pale. Recently I've tried Ephemera's WEAK on her.

It depends on what case you have, many computer cases have different size mounts for fans - either a 80mm, 120mm, 140mm, 200mm or sometimes 230mm. You should check what size fans your case supports and look up for fans in that category. Usually most cases have standard 120mm fans, so I would recommend getting Cooler Master Sikleflow LED fans as they are great quality and pretty cheap. I use Fractal R2 140mm silent fans in my case as it supports fans of this size and those are VERY silent ones (like completely silent).

Awww thanks :3 I don't think I get much hate, I just think that there's this one or two people who just don't have anything better to do than send hate to me. (Which makes me thing of how pathetic they should be lol).

I don't think that I will convert any more RE hairs for now as I don't have the game anymore :/

It really depends on how you like to play. Some people argue about this, but it really varies from person to person. I like Late Night a lot, so I'd say it's my favorite EP because of the downtown city and all the fun places to visit. If you like playing with kids and other age groups, go for Generations. If you like playing with pets - go for Pets. If you like to travel and do quests - go for World Adventures and so on.

Idk I think it's just the weight slider. I never make it further to the left than a middle of the bar because I find sims to be shapeless and weird when I do so.

Lol, did anyone actually ask me for models recently? No one did, you went straight for the anon hate. There were many people who asked nicely before you and they got all the help and assistance they needed. Remember the rule "Treat others like you want them to treat you"? honestly it's shitty of you not to share where you got your models for tera from. since you've pretty much given up on converting tera to sims at least share where you got your sources from so other people can pick it up. it's quite selfish of you really. /unfollow

Honestly it's shitty of you not to use Google and get the models yourself and instead bugging other people with anon hate to get them something for you. Have you tried asking nicely? No, you send anon hate, so you will get what you deserve. You have hands and can use your browser? Yes. All you need now is just half a brain to get what you need. You don't have that? Been playing it a lot lately since I've lost my interest in Sims, not sure for how long though. The guild events are insanely fun and I've met a lot of new awesome people, they keep me occupied during all my free time. I have few unfinished stuff in my pocket, but I'm just lacking motivation to continue; this is however should change any time soon, so nothing to be worried about.

What season are you watching? Just give it a few episodes and you will get it. The show has a long history and a lot of references to past seasons and enemies so it might take a little while to get used to it.

I'm watching the very first season, I think it's dated 2005 or something like that.

4. Probably not. I change/remodel armors so fast that I see no point in that at the moment. I probably do so when I finally get the gear I want, which may not happen very soon.

Stuff

I'm sorry to those anons who sent me asks, I'm not ignoring you, I will answer them in one batch as soon as I can. I'm having a horrible mood lately and it's not the best state to answer questions in, but I promise I will answer them eventually. I'm also trying to work on my unfinished stuff, currently concentrating on kids shoes first so hopefully they will be up soon if I don't mess up badly again (last time I've accidentally delete the whole projects folder, but I did managed to get them back with few nerdy tricks).

To those who play Tera - currently I'm hunting for a better max level gear and in the meantime trying to help newbies with BAM's and dungeons, so if any of you lower level simmers need help with them drop me an ask (Celestial Hill server, character name Annaig).
