Angel was beyond fucking exhausted. He had literally been out all day going from gig to gig; burlesque show, private party, a double at the club, a porno shoot, and then to top it off Valentino “accidentally” double booked him after for sex with two clients and decided Angel just had to do both at the same time—and the fuckers brought in a third guy!
His body was way past hypersensitivity and on top of that he didn’t get to have breakfast only “lunch” which was a ham sandwich from the crew table that he is 98% certain had cum rather than mayo. He wasn’t sure if it was the bright lights from the club or the third re-shoot that caused his headache, but he was certain the lack of food was to blame for his legs shaking despite one of the guys proudly taking credit for it. He felt sick remembering how he played along and had replied with a “you know it, babe”. Had to keep clients happy…
Now was finally his time though and that had him stepping out of the elevator on the top floor and stumbling to the left down the hall, his hand of his bottom set of arms on the wall to steady himself out, the upper set was crossed over his chest, hugging himself. He felt ready to faint, so he was in near tears of joy to finally reach the door he was looking for.
Before he could even knock, a familiar shadow came from under the door before stretching up it. The non-corporeal being smiled at him, though he managed to look glad Angel was back, making the Sinner smile, especially as it bowed and opened the door for him.
“Thanks shads.” Angel thanked as he entered the room, only to gasp in shock as the being closed the door, took a corporeal form and picked him up, bridal style, looking quite proud of itself. Angel wrapped his top set of arms around them and giggled. “My, someone’s bein’ prince charming~” He commented lightheartedly as he just held on for the ride, being carried through the bayou Alastor had manifested in his room. He was grateful for the lift as the destination, a cabin, was buried deep inside the lush trees that made up the scene.
Once they got to the cabin next to the water, the shadow set him down and gave a bow, dipping extra low so his face almost turned to his knees, earning another laugh before he turned back into just a shadow and slithered under the front door. Angel looked to the door and took a deep breath before slouching, finally letting go of his act. He knew better by now. There was no need to act like sex was all he needed and craved around Alastor because the other didn’t care. He didn’t care about sex.
But he cared about Angel.
He sighed and ran his hand through his hair, knowing he likely looked like shit, and entered. Immediately, he smelled delicious food, fresh from the smell of it, making his mouth water and stomach grumble.
As if on cue, Alastor came from the bedroom with a pair of slippers and a blanket. “Welcome home, darling. I have dinner already platted and waiting for you.” He informed, handing Angel the warmed blanket which the spider happily wrapped around his shoulders. The deer then knelt and held his hand out expectantly, this was routine so Angel obediently lifted his foot, smiling as the shadow formed again to help him keep balance. Alastor unzipped his boots and with gentle care took them off, mindful for how he was sure the other’s feet hurt. Once it was off, Angel slipped on the slipper and then they did the same with the other, Alastor then stood with the boots and took them to the room to put up.
While he was doing that, Angel went ahead and walked to the table to see what Alastor made tonight. He almost cried and thanked God as he saw it was creamy shrimp pasta—Imagine thanking God for a cannibal serial killer! Yet that cannibal was the first person to make Angel feel human and was the best damn cook he knew!
He didn’t hesitate to sit down and eat. He had once waited for Alastor and got an hour long scolding on how if food was served that meant to eat. Besides, only two mouthfuls in and Alastor was back, eating with him. Angel asked about Alastor’s day and Alastor asked if Angel found any new music to torture him with jokingly or if Angel knew what he wanted to eat tomorrow… Needless to say, Alastor did most the talking, but Angel liked it that way, it allowed him to disassociate from his awful day and he genuinely enjoyed Alastor’s voice and flair for dramatics when he felt the need to reenact something for him.
Angel had seconds and even though Alastor finished, he stayed with him talking until he noticed Angel slowed. He took that as his cue to excuse himself and start the bath for him, knowing well that when the spider slowed it meant he was almost full. The bath was ready for him when he finished, Alastor left him alone for it and went to pick up and do dishes.
When Angel finished his relaxing bath, mentally unloading everything with a good cry in private, he got out and dried off before pulling on the loose black boxers and oversized pink shirt that said Princess with a crown on it. It was Angel’s favorite one, it went past his knees, past his elbows, and Alastor had Niffty resew the neck so it fit correctly unlike the rest. It was soft and hid his form completely. It allowed him to mentally disconnect from his body.
He sighed happily and left the bathroom to go to the bedroom with his slippers put back on. Alastor was already in bed, dressed in his own silk set of pajamas, reading a book. He had looked up to acknowledge his partner with a gentle look, his eyelids relaxed and eyes warm, before looking back down to his page.
This was typical, this was a silent offer, it was Alastor leaving it in Angel’s hands how much attention and touch he wanted. Angel answered the offer just as silently. He crawled into bed next to Alastor who took the sign to open his arm, letting the spider lay on his chest. The deer let him move and get comfortable without a word, just acceptance.
“What are you reading…?” Angel asked in a hush tone, the implication clear.
Alastor smiled and began reading the book out loud until he noticed his partner fell asleep. He then bookmarked his page and put it away, dimming the lights—He never turned them off anymore after Angel mentioned liking to see where he was when he woke up. His poor spider had been through so much—too much...but he had found him too late. By the time they met and grew close, they both were under contract. So the least he could do was make the other’s weight lighter and take away his cares and worries, even if only for a few hours.
