Quick
Once upon a time there was a boy who liked boys, he fell for another boy and got his heart broken over and over again, until he realized that when another people’s heart didn’t belong to you, and never would, it was time to give up.
So he did, he gave up, he got away and his heart was reborn, stronger, and richer with feelings, and our boy gave love to his friends, to his family, and to everyone who deserved him, and that was a lot of people, and tick, and tack, time went and went and went, until suddenly...
Our boy left.
He left his hometown, he left his family, he left his friends, and though he still talked with all of them, he no longer could hug them, or hold their hands, he no longer could tell to their faces how much he loved them, and so all of that love started growing inside of him.
He started a new school, he met a lot of new people worthy of his love, and he started giving it little by little, one day at a time, one word at a time, so they all knew he was there for them, and he met a boy.
Our boy who likes boys met another boy, and he was in for a trainwreck again.
Quicker than he would’ve liked, he started falling, and he started falling hard, fast, and nothing could stop him, so he went in, and he started feeling, because he was tired of guarding his heart in iron, he decided it was time to start wearing it on his sleeve.
And so he did, and he talked to all of his friends about that boy, and he praised, and he loved, and the new boy was none the wiser, and our boy liked it that way, but he wanted more, and he feared a lot.
Because it was too quick.
Because he felt like he was just seen as a friend.
Because he didn’t want to overthink anything, but his mind was careless, and did whatever it liked.
And so, one day, our boy was ready, to tell our new boy that he was starting to develop feelings for him.
Because it is pretty different liking someone and starting to develop feelings for them, and our boy knew that, and he knew what words he was gonna use, and he was fearless, and didn’t know if that was a good thing.
But our boy needed one thing answered before going all in, and so he did, he asked the new boy if his heart already belonged to anyone else, and sadly for our boy, happily for the new boy, it did, and our boy was hurt.
And our boy cried his eyes out, like he never did, and he didn’t understand how that could happen, because it was too quick, because he was just a friend, but too slow he came to the conclusion that our hearts really don’t care about time, and they feel when they want to, and so he quickly recovered.
People told our boy to break them up, that he could do it, if he wanted, but our boy did not want to do that, because he respected the relationship, and because he never wanted that to happen to him.
And a few tears later, he laughed, he went outside, to get milk, to get bread, and danced all the way to his destination, because whenever his heart got broken, it fixed himself, one day at a time, and this was gonna heal too.
He would still think of that new boy.
He would still see him, and picture all the things he didn’t, he couldn’t say to him.
Becuase the new boy had issues, with his self-esteem, with anxiety, and our boy knows how all of that hurts one’s mind, so he let it go.
He would always be there for the new boy, even if they’ve only known each other for a few weeks, but he knows the people worthy of his love, and not every love comes tied with desire, and he was making the distinction.
Quickly, he’ll be healed, and things were going to go back to normal.
Or as normal as they could be.
He just wished someone would’ve hugged him when the tears fell down his face.
Sadly, sometimes, our boy had to pick himself up, even when there was people out there willing to pick him up, but unable to do so.
And our boy, who quickly fell for a new boy, had his heart broken all by himself.
And he was gonna cure it, all by himself.
