So there we have it, all of the gen 1-7 Pokemon that are returning for Sword and Shield. Everything highlighted in green or orange means you’ll be able to transfer them into your game via Pokemon Home when it launches. Orange means that Pokemon gets a new regional variant.

Any Pokemon not highlighted will NOT be able to transfer into the game; they will stay in Home.

I know some people will get mad at this post because it does spoil certain things, but on the principle that the loss of the National Dex has been a sticking point to many people about whether or not they’ll buy these games, I feel it’s important that long-time fans look at what this Pokedex has to offer.

Pokegandas, if you don’t mind the question, what’s your take on the Dexit contreversy, and will you still be buying the games?

I, personally, will still be buying SwoShi. I’m still excited to venture into a new reigon with new pokemon, stories, and characters, even if I can’t bring my old teams with me on the way. Of course, I would be much more eager if I could carry over my beloved teams and shinies, but at the moment, I’m eager for what I can get.

While I do like the new Pokémon a lot (especially the bug ones) I will not be buying sword and shield. Personally, my favorite part about Pokémon was collecting them all.

My favorites have all been cut with the one exception of Hydreigon, but I just bred a shiny venipede and the fact that I won’t get to use her on my sword and shield team makes me real upset. I guess I’ll transfer her to Moon or something and play through that game with her there.

I understand why people want to buy the games, but I won’t be one of them. I don’t want to post about this too much on here though.
