Out of curiosity, do you have any distinct memories of Staraptor? Any clutch moments in Platinum, or a shiny you found in X and Y?

I used a Staraptor on my team as a kid, and I’ve loved them ever since.

My first ever pokemon game was Diamond, and first ever caught pokemon was Starly (starters don't count) and soon it became my most powerful teammate. I even traded the bad boy over to my Heart Gold game to help me beat the league, although I was devistated to find that he lost his friendship towards me when I traded back. Staraptor has been my favorite pokemon since!
Oh- Sorry to hear about the friendship being lost after trading, but I’m glad he stuck around with you and was one of your ace Pokemon!

Cipher @ Walter: "Hello! I may have noticed your scar and I might ask , how did you get it? Was it from a battle or something different?"
[Walter seems to chuckle at the memory.]
Well, Cipher. Have you ever had something you were so desperate to protect, no matter what?

Kuza was an old Staraptor, old and tired. He couldn’t keep up with most of his young trainer’s team, and at times he feared they’d leave him behind.
Now, mind that he loved his trainer, she never made him, or any of them battle, but Karlia was so fast paced, it was almost too much for him.
Letting out a sigh, he settled at the base of a tree, watching as she started dinner for them all. It was nice, a home made meal he thought idly, never noticing the Charzard walking to him.
Kuza shifted, startled as GZ sat next to him, wrapping his tail around him, pulling him close.
The warmth from his teammate sank in as he looked up at him, GZ smiling down at him.
Maybe he didn’t need to catch up, his team would always be by his side, he supposed as he snuggled into the side of the Charzard.
“Corviknight are an especially big species of bird Pokémon, so much so that residents of Galar use them as straight-up cabs to travel between cities. As one of the only Pokémon not born a steel-type that doesn’t gain it via the object Metal Coat (like Scizor) or via other Pokémon trade interactions (Escavalier), it’s important to look at the context of Corviknight life.
While adult Corviknight can be seen roaming the Wild Area, their fledgeling Rookidee are most commonly seen on the outskirts of more peaceful towns. As Corviknight are almost never seen in these areas, it has lead to two divergent trains of thought: one, that what was believed to be the species adolescent stage, Corvisquire, is actually the adult of this species, and that Corviknight are a more extreme stage of their growth attained after taking care of their young, or two, that Corviknight require so much energy to maintain their large sizes that young are left to fend for themselves while Corviknight seek out steel-type prey to maintain their hardened carapaces (Cufant).
Talonflame are a species native to the Kalos region. Their powerful wing muscles allow them to pursue prey at high speeds, though the species as a whole is reliant on divebomb-style attacks to subdue prey. Official Pokémon matches had to amend special rules disbarring Talonflame from flying out too far from chosen arenas, as opposing trainers complained having your opponent disappear for such a long time made for a boring sport. As a result particularly dedicated Kalos trainers take part in “aerial battles” limiting the Pokémon set to only flying ones, to give predatory bird Pokémon an outlet for their natural battle style.
Unlike the more speed-based approach of Talonflame, Staraptor are an entirely different breed of bird Pokémon. While they have been classified as a normal/flying, the Pokémon boasts immense physical ability in close combat. As Staraptor are rarely reported being seen in the wild in Sinnoh, it’s believed that the birds are largely nomadic and will make their homes anywhere they can find prey to take out their territorial needs on, before moving on to the next area. Trainers whose Staravia grow into Staraptor are in for a good time, as the large Pokémon’s aggressive nature is perfectly suited for battle, and having a permanent home with a trainer is better for them to keep them from becoming invasive.”- Prof. Hibiki Tsukasa, An Introductory Look At Flying Pokémon

Still don’t have a lot of time to make stuff because of my spring-term class, but here’s an edit I made real quick since I had a little bit of time.
