The Second Task

Woke up groggy on top of the boat they were staying in.

Slowly made his way down to where the start of the task

While drugged he wandered through the forest and came upon a group of pixies that pulled at his hair and ripped his shirt a bit giving him some cuts.

He started having a weird reaction to the drug and started to get sleepy, although that could have just been him not sleeping much the night before.

He fell asleep inside a hollowed out tree.

When he woke up, he saw a street and wandered down it, at the end was a candy shop with his name on it.

In front of the candy shop was his family who congratulated him and told him how amazing he was.

There was store clerk who beckoned him inside the shop and Eli stepped toward him.

As he got closer, the clerk turned into a Werewolf.

Eli tried to fight back with a spell, but the spell backfired and caused a good chunk of his body to go flying off in tiny pieces.

The werewolf quickly tore the rest of his body to pieces.

Eli lasted 4 hours and then went missing. He has yet to be found.

Paranoia || Eli One Shot

Eli walked out of his room and into the corridor of the ship. It was the ship that he came here on. It was filled with other students and teachers. Of course none of those students really talked to him. The only one who really did was Zan and that was only because they are both tributes. Sometimes he really resented his family. No, not just resented, hated. It has brought him nothing but misery in his life. However, his family is the only people who have stood by him and took care of him, he couldn’t just abandon them. That is not who Eli Blair is. He did save his little brother in the first task after all. He would do that for anyone in his family, including his sister or father.

It was after the first task that his sister and father came to visit. He met up with them in the infirmary. The only thing his father said to him was, “The Hughes boy did better than you.” He didn’t even bother looking at Eli. Sure enough, his father was right. Jayden Hughes got first place while he got second. Natalia just laughed at him. Eli needed to do better. Once his brother was feeling better, the headmaster gave them a tour around the school. His father seemed impressed by everything. Natalia just walked right beside them. It seemed that they knew something that Eli didn’t. He decided to put out of mind for now. A problem for another day, he thought.

The corridor was cold as he walked down it. He didn’t know where he was going, he just felt like he needed to get out. Eventually he found his way on the top deck. He shivered at the cold wind. He looked across at the lake and to the forest. That is where the first task was to be held. His heart started to pound a bit more rapidly and his breathing got deeper. He sat down and just closed his eyes trying to calm down. He felt that this whole triwizard games thing was more trouble than it was worth. First the tasks and then the dance. That was an experience.

Eli met a lot of nice people here, but none that he truly bonded with, and he was supposed to find a date to the dance because he was a tribute. All around him people were getting dates and Eli just put it off. Eventually he just asked a girl from the Australian school he got to talking with about different defensive spells. Her name was Vail Williams. They met in the library. That’s where Eli met most people since he spent a lot of his time there. They conversed a lot about their homelands and different defensive spells. She definitely taught Eli a lot. It was a day before the dance when Eli asked her. Surprisingly, she said yes.

Eli was a big ball of nerves at the dance. While they were dancing, he stepped on her feet twice. He almost spilled some punch on her if it wasn’t for her quick thinking. He thought everything was going well, that was until Randall showed up. Randall was Vail’s ex-boyfriend. It turns out that she was only using Eli to make Randall jealous, and it worked. She ditched Eli for him in a heartbeat. He left the dance half way through to get some more practice in for the second task.

Now that the second task has been announced, Eli has been preparing more readily for it. However, he still doesn’t feel confident. Frankly, he doesn’t think he ever will feel confident. He just wants the games to be over.

As he sat there on the deck of the ship, Eli drifted off into sleep, hoping that he will survive the second task.
