Yup! Everyday.
Me: *slowly rocking my kid as I watch his eyes close and his breathing even out*
Me: *keeps rocking a little bit longer until he starts snoring a little bit*
Me: great he’s asleep I can stop rocking finally
My child, as soon as I stop:
Idk how to mom without boobs.
Now accepting asks! If you need advice or just want to talk, we’re here. You’re not alone 💕
"Sleep while you can"
My least favorite piece of advice while I was pregnant with Logan was, “Sleep while you can.” This was especially true toward the end of my pregnancy, when it seemed like someone would say it daily. Like, y'all know I am trying to sleep while attached to a 10-pound basketball and sometimes stomach acid just shoots up out of my throat for no reason, right?
What I wish people had said instead was this: “Enjoy your solitude while you can.”
Sleep a whole day away. Go to the movies by yourself. Read a book alone at a coffee shop. Take the world’s longest shower. Spend all night making a four course meal. Binge watch Netflix.
Sure, you can do these things with a baby, but not as effortlessly and not without a lot of planning. Being a mother means preparing for the needs and wants of two people every hour of every day.
Life is about to get a lot wonderfully more complex. Take it easy when you can.
Motherhood is consuming. It crashes in like a massive tidal wave, completely destroying weak structures of you that once stood. The water smooths and fills all the cracks and emptiness in a single sweeping motion. To be birthed anew alongside your baby, a top the leftover foundation she before children laid.
For real
When you’re in a committed relationship or marriage with kids then y'all are both the parents. I’m sick of seeing posts from moms or hearing where dads are like “Take the kids with you” “Hubby just took the baby so I can have a nice bath for once” or like “Well it’s up to you to do that”
It takes two to make a child. Split the responsibilities. A mom shouldn’t have to take the kids shopping if a capable dad is at home. Nor should they have to wait for someone to ‘watch’ the kids so they can relax. Same with in public, or at a family gathering, doctor appointments and school events, the mother shouldn’t be the only one with the kids. That’s your child too, you should know what’s wrong with him or her. It’s not just up to mom to feed, bathe, and play with the kids either. Be a parent, split the responsibilities. You’re a dad, not a babysitter. Be responsible. I know it can work both ways but I’ve only seen this happen with dads acting like they are babysitting their kids. Grow the fuck up.
“Not knowing a damn thing about what you’re doing but by the grace of God, managing to do it anyway. That is motherhood.”

Quote of the day!
“I know it’s hard mama. I know it can be hard to get up every day and have these little people rely on you. I know it’s hard to sometimes feel like your world is so small. I want to remind you, you are the world. You are the world that those little ones revolve around. You are their nurture, their home, and their comfort. You are everything to them and I hope even on your worst days you know how special you are, especially to your little people.”

💕 💧 🌿 Don’t get angry at yourself for feeling drained. Growth takes a lot of energy. It’s really not as simple as it looks 🌿 💧 💕
Motherhood is sleepless nights and endless feedings and dirty diapers and cold coffee and holding your bladder and forgetting to feed yourself and screaming fits and tears (not just the baby) and mom guilt and mom guilt and mom guilt But motherhood is also first smiles and laughing while dreaming and little toes and fingers and that baby smell–you know the one–and cuddles and cute clothes and discovering–people, places, smells, books–together and grace and love and love and love
