Not just any friend, what will likely be my BEST friend.
If you've been following me, you know this, but for some of you newcomers you have to understand that I'm super weird and socially awkward. I've been a sahm for about 5 years, we practice attachment so I'm with my kids 24/7. Literally, they sleep in my bed.
I haven't had a social life, and the friends I did have back home drifted away because our lives didn't really relate anymore. Besides the occasional smoke sesh here & there with my childless buddies, I haven't had someone I can hangout with regularly and without sacrifice for 4 years.
Me & the kids were at one of our regular parks, I was just wandering around wearing Baby A. She just approached me out of nowhere, a young mom just like me, she had her 2 step kids and was pushing her biological baby in a stroller. We just hit it off, instant conversation and we're laughing and joking around. We both were planning on leaving soon, so we exchanged numbers and went on our way.
We've been texting for a couple weeks now, and we are freakishly similar! Our parenting styles, views on contreversial topics, and hobbies. I feel like I'm geeking about a new love interest. She lives a literal 15 minute walk away from me & gave me info for a mmj friendly doctor nearby that gives out mmj recs, which is amazing!
Last night, I wore Baby A to walk to her house and we walked to Dairy Queen together and just talked. It was so refreshing. I have a friend! A real friends that is almost my age, has kids, and doesn't think I'm a nut for my parenting choices.
