I was expecting the How To Train Your Dragon books to be good, but I didn't expect to be shaken to my core by the end of the serie like I am. Like. Woaw. The story. The characters. The themes. I just love everything about these books.

That dreadful feeling knowing that Furious was right about humanity being unable to change, and history being doomed to repeat itself. Ain't we seeing that happening right now with the state of the current world. But also the hopeful feeling that Hiccup was right too to stand for peace and a better future. Wether that future will last or not, as long as you try your best to make it eventually happens.

Hiccup at the beginning of every book : Something horrible happened when I was a boy, back when dragons still roamed around the world. After all those years, I am still deeply traumatised and literally shaking right now.

Chapter 1 : I was being miserable and then shit happened.

I'd say give this poor viking a break but sounds like he never got one
