He couldn’t sleep the previous night, for some reason he felt nervous since he woke up (Aidan was sure nothing bad would happen, he wouldn’t allow it to happen), but he couldn’t sit still, not even for one moment. But most of all he felt like he was floating through the day, almost as if he was high - high on love and life, and that feeling accompanied him throughout the day. He couldn’t stop smiling or looking away from Elise, she looked as gorgeous as ever, and she was his. His wife. For better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death would do them part. He watched her from the other side of the room, she was talking to one of their guests, but as they walked away, Aidan took that moment to steal Elise away from the next guests, who would want to talk to her. “My gorgeous wife,” he purred in her ear, placing his hands on her hips and slowly guiding her to the middle of the dance floor to the rhythm of the music. “I will never get sick of calling you my wife,” his lips curved in a wide smile as his arms wrapped around her waist, him still moving to the music. “Have I told you today how much I love you?” A small laugh escaped his lips. Of course he had done it already. Multiple times. “Don’t tell Princess Mina, but you are the most stunning, most gorgeous and beautiful bride I have ever seen,” he whispered in her ear and placed a small, quick kiss on her neck right below it.

It was a blissful delirium. The high emotions mixed with drinks and her powers slipping through, constantly catching the heartbeats of people less important than him - and then there he was. No one felt like him. Her favorite sound, her favorite sight, her favorite person. No matter how interesting the conversation held could be, her eyes drifted towards Aidan - smiling each time she caught him already looking at her. Unsure if it was his intense attention or the cups she had been handed throughout the night - most likely a mix of both - but the blush didn’t want to leave her cheeks. Especially not when she noticed him approaching as soon as her latest conversation had ended. “My lovely husband.” It hadn’t fully sunken in yet, still simmering in her conscience that he’d actually want this. He was such an obvious choice to her - how could she not love him? But gods knew how crazy he was for wanting her. It still felt surreal - and yet this bubble was as steady as Aidan himself. Pulling herself in just a bit closer, her arms settled around him with a content little smile on her lips. “I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of hearing it - husband.” The word brushed passed her lips as if she had wished it into existence, a small giggle following. It was an unusual feeling, breathing newfound youth into her but Elise couldn’t help it. Humming, she swayed away from him and twirled under his arm just to launch herself against his chest. “Multiple times. I need to keep up.” Leaving a quick kiss on his lips, her hands settled on his chest, right over his heart. “I love you.” Leaning in to hear him better, she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. Charmer. Yet still, the smile never faded.“It can be our secret. Although I’d wager you haven’t seen many brides in your lifetime.” A shiver ran down her spine when she felt his lips brush her neck, making her slightly jump, the blush on her cheeks becoming even more obvious. “Barely a Frey and you’re already testing my integrity? What will our guest thing?”
