Adding petite little daisies to this artwork

So grateful to have my artwork on the cover of the Japanese Translation of āAlligator and Other Storiesā by Dima Alzayat. Thank you to publisher Tokyo Sogensha for doing such a great job with the jacket design!
This is the first papercut I ever created. Originally it was a gift for my sister-in-law who loves New York City. It wasnāt until afterward that I realized I was on to something...Something about the process resonated deeply with me. So I kept going. Made more and more. And now here I am 7 years later, still cutting paper.
Iām remembering this artwork today as I start a new piece. I titled it āRevelationā for reasons totally unrelated to my art practice, and yet it ended up being a revelation for that too, a signal of a new direction I desperately wanted to pursue. Iām still finding my way, but this was the jumping-off point. (Revelation, handcut paper and graphite, 2018)
