Where to Buy High Quality Pressed Flowers
Whether you’re a resin crafter, card maker, or journal keeper, you’ve no doubt seen dozens of crafts featuring delicate and vibrant pressed flowers. If you’ve attempted to press and dry your own, you’ve likely run into the following issues common to novice floral artists.
Flowers turning brown after days of pressing.
Over drying botanicals in silica gel.
Flowers losing their color and appeal after drying.
The intent of this article is not to solve these issues. I promise to address these roadblocks in future posts!
This post is intended for those who want the fun of playing with pressed flowers without the hassle of making their own. I’ll admit that I fall into this category more frequently these days. I’ve been making an effort to spend more time working with new mediums and materials instead. As a result, I’ve spent all of the money (and made all of the mistakes) purchasing botanicals online so you don’t have to!
Keep in mind that many of these items are not always in stock. Some of the vendors listed take scheduled breaks during the year due to flower pressing being a seasonal activity.
