Sorry I haven't been around much today, or really the past couple days. I might wind up easing up on the pace of this blog to a more relaxed one, but I do know I have about 7 drafts to take care of. — ⚜ } Unconsciously, the redhead took a step back from the man, a bit unnerved at what he had just done with his glasses. However he quickly shook the feeling off. Lucian was just a bookworm, although a talented trainer at the same time, but there was no way a nerd such as him could actually intimidate him for even a second.

— “I’m already on it.” He grinned, nodding his head and surprised that the two actually agreed on something for once, “Though, Lucian… You should really work on ‘at smile, it’s creepy as hell, man.”

The fact that the other elite had taken a step back, and did seem a bit unnerved did surprise him a little - he wasn't horribly used to being able to have that effect on people. It was both a bit refreshing and a bit nerve-wracking at the same time, altogether an interesting feeling, to be sure. But, like anything else, such talents had the appropriate times and places to be used, and seeming to unnerve one's associates was neither the time nor the place.

— ⚜ } What a terrible day today has been. After taking a break to visit his family, he expected a more friendly welcoming not this crap. First some seaweed pipsqueak began to pipe his horn a bit too loudly and now some gray faced bastard was insulting a co-worker of his. Granted the psychic-specialist never got along well in a close manner before but no one was allowed to insult his friends and get away with it.

— “Listen up, punk.” He cleared his throat, trying hard to remain composed as the volume of his voice rose higher with each word, “First of all, that nerd is not a dope, okay? Secondly, he’s too ‘uch of a nerd to actually be smackin’ and be lip lockin’ with other people, ok? ‘at poor bastard probably only got kissed by his mom since all he does is read some stupid book. The psychic seemed to perk up a little at that.

"Did he, now? In which case, you were entirely right to be offended." he casually adjusted his sunglasses, causing the lenses to give off a sinister gleam as they momentarily caught the light from a different angle.

Perhaps we should challenge his facility and educate him on what the League's Elite Four are truly capable of?" there was a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. It was the same kind of smile that had reared its ugly head in conversations with Proton and Ghetsis - it could be mistaken as a pleasant expression, but there were metaphorical daggers lurking somewhere behind it.

Lucian lazily raised an eyebrow.

Despite being phrased like a question, it really did carry the inflection that would suggest a statement more than anything else. This would hardly be the first time someone has decided to take a shot at the Fire Elite's beloved 'chick magnet' hairstyle.

Lucian took a step or two back, much as that would likely do nothing to aid with the looming and stifling presence of a very large incorporeal force.

Lucian's eyes narrowed. This man was clearly hellbent on being rude with him, regardless. Only, now a threat like that just seemed to shove it a few notches higher from 'how obnoxious' to 'is he seriously trying to pick a fight'.

"You really mustn't be very popular if you carry on like that most of the time. It does make me wonder what you might be overcompensating for." he shrugged casually.

A part of him was wondering why he was even bothering to continue to engage the trainer. Another part of him couldn't help but feel that it would be unwise to simply turn and walk away. He normally wasn't that excessively suspicious, and yet.  Of course, he wasn't normally all this confrontational, either. Usually.

Apparently the stars were just aligned in just the right way for those crucial nerves to've been struck.

This in turn was greeted by an eye roll. “Let me get right on that,” he replied sarcastically. “Better yet, I’ll call my make up artist, and maybe we can fix you.” While he knew about stage makeup, he was not the one to apply it to himself. That’s what make up artists were for.

Once the two arrived at the cemetery, a chill went down Will’s spine. Places like these were creepy enough in the daytime, but there was something extra when one walked about these places at night. He couldn’t describe what it was, exactly. All he knew was that a feeling of foreboding washed over him, causing a shiver to run down his spine.

Looking over, he saw that Lucian was uneasy about the place as well. However, he got the feeling that it was for a different reason. “Let’s hurry and get to your grave,” he muttered, taking a breath before stepping inside. “The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can go home.”

Lucian sighed. Your grave. Did Will have to use that kind of wording? Really? It may have been accurate, but the violet-haired man didn't particularly care to be reminded of the gravity of the situation he found himself in.

"Yes. The sooner this is dealt with, the better." he replied with a nod, assisting Will in carrying the body to the disturbed gravesite. In theory, it would just be a matter of digging some of the way down, throwing the corpse in there, and then throwing dirt back on top of it and leaving. It seemed simple enough, honestly.

There was something extremely uncomfortable about being here like this, standing at his own grave that he'd dug his way out of, and being reminded of the fact that he should be DOWN THERE right now, instead of UP HERE and trying to dispose of evidence. Which was most assuredly a felony.

Why did the world seem to insist on not making sense?
