āOh... I guess itās my birthday today, huh?ā
tour de fuck you;
Arakita didnāt really care about formalities here. He was old enough to take care of himself and even though heād been yanked right from his college classes and biking and had fallen back to kouhai status - well. It didnāt matter. None of it really mattered. It wasnāt like he was the most polite person in the world, either, with his brash tongue and all the bite that had recently been reserved for people that especially pissed him off.
Honestly, his life had been pretty peaceful here. Not in a bad way, though. But also not in a good way, because he didnāt have his bike. His bike was probably the number one important thing to him and it left him extremely salty and bitter when he didnāt have it, especially considering that it was a giftĀ and not something heād gotten outright on his own. Something that meant a lot and held a lot of sentiment. It made his expression fall while thinking about it, shifting his footing with a frown before nodding to the other boy. Yanno, itād only took him so long to register what he said.
āHah, right?ā he replied, languid smile coming to his lips.
He took the moment to push open the door and step inside, keeping his arm outstretched to hold it for the younger. Dark hues glanced over the inside, looking for that familiar Bianchi teal.
While still away from school, he found it necessary to use his honorifics when addressing people, he felt it was only right, only natural to who he was. Heād been taken right out of the Inter High and Arakita felt different, more mature oddly enough. He wondered why that was.
He ducked into the shop after offering Arakita his thanks, unable to keep a small grin off his face. This was where he belonged, in the world of bicycles and racing, speed and precision, victory and excitement. The store wasnāt enormous, but neither was the Kanzaki Bike Shop where heād gotten his first bicycle as a kid. That place had just what he needed, it made him fall in love and never look back from the feel of the wind in his hair and the ache in his muscles as he rode. It was electrifying.
He admired the framework on the bikes, looking for familiarity and comfort, as opposed to a new thing, an exciting thing.
āFind anything you like?ā
āŖHime HimeāŖ || closed; unsetter
Sugawaraās a fan of music himselfā being a third year, tired and depraved bunch that they are, had taken to his headphones to help him wake up on the way to school. It wasnāt unusual to find the setter yawning every other step in the morning, phone flipping through his library in one hand, coffee steaming hot in the other.
Admittedly, though, his musical range is limited to the chill beats he uses to wake up, and isnāt very versed in much anything else. With what music he had on his phone back home now gone, Sugawaraās taking his day off in the store, looking for anything that might catch his fancy. What he doesnāt expect though, is a neon pink CD cover catching his eyeā hadnāt Tanaka watched thatā¦?
āLove Hime!ā Sugawara chirps, hand flying up to cover his mouth immediately after his outburst. He quickly bows his head to the teen holding the cover in his hands. āIām sorry, I just didnāt think Iād ever see someone who knew what Love Hime was ever again.ā
He never expected to hear someone else mentioning Love Hime in this place, much less someone whose voice he didnāt recognize. It made him jump a little, almost dropping the cds of choice right onto the floor. Setting the two back on the stack, he turned to see who had just approached him, noticing a silver haired guy, a little shorter than himself, looking up at him in awe. He must be really excited for this cd.
āNo donāt worry about it, I was pretty excited to find it here myself. Itās really surprising theyād have something like this all the way from Japan though.ā
Maybe heād get it, maybe heād use it as a reminder of what wasnāt here, what could be here and what he desperately wished wouldnāt arrive.
āDo you... watch it then?ā

āThank you for accepting me.ā
āHaahā?ā
āDo you think I canāt win on the third day, Yowaizumi-kun? I realized after the second day I hadnāt given everything upāthere is still things to cast off! I may have lost, but that doesnāt mean I donāt have a strategy for the third day, donāt underestimate meā¦itās gross.ā
Did... did he really not know about the third day? Did he honestly forget about how hard the two of them raced together and who came out on top when it came to their direct competition?
āIām not underestimating you, but youāre underestimating me. You think Iām not going to give it everything Iāve got to make it to the finish line first? You think I wont carry the jerseys of everyone else with me to the finish line, no matter what happens? Think again.ā
tour de fuck you;
Arakita didnāt mind waiting. Despite what everyone thought, he was surprisingly a patient person. Maybe his anxieties were running a little higher that day because it wasnāt every day that he invited someone out that he didnāt know much. It would have been different if he was spending time with members of his own team outside of practice, especially considering they all lived in dorms - but here he was reaching out to the guy who was similar yet so, so different. He still had respect for him, though, to a degree - they were both ace assistants and strong - that he couldnāt deny.
He honestly wasnāt kept waiting that long, perking up automatically at the sight of the other. A friendlier smile came across his lips (or as friendly as it really could be), pulling a hand out of his pocket in a small wave.
āYo.ā
The teen shifted, pushing himself away from the wall as he jerked a finger towards the shop behind him as if asking if he was ready to go inside. Riding a bike was on the forefront of his mind. Even if they couldnāt buy it, being able to test ride it was definitely a plus. Itād give him some momentary sense of freedom before he had to return it and go without. He exhaled slowly, turning away from the other to set his hand on the door handle, head tilting back at the younger.
āOh - yeah, I didnāt wait that long. Donāt worry too much about it, alright?ā
Cue a shrug.
āYou wanna go in?ā
He was relieved to hear that he hadnāt kept Arakita waiting. He preferred being punctual, coming in first where ever he went. Again, it was quieter if he went early, if he beat the crowds and kept to his own devices and thoughts without having to deal with the hassle of attempting to block out noises dirtying up his ears.
The thought of getting to ride a bike after going almost two month without honestly excited him. He couldnāt remember the last time heād gone this long without riding. Had he ever? Surely the only time he went without was before he had a bike of his very own to carry him through his life. His bike not being here made him feel empty, like when you go away for a long time and know you have someone important waiting for you when you get back. It would be a long awaited reunion to feel the wind in his face and the blood hot in his veins as he forced himself to ride until he dropped.
When Arakita reached a hand up to wave, he responded with a wave of his own and a small polite nod of the head, acknowledging him. He really didnāt know Arakita that well, outside of the race heād had with him in the inter high. He knew Arakita was his senpai as well, he needed to respect him.
āAh, I wont worry then, thanksā.
He walked up behind Arakita, taking a moment to look at the shopās outside. It was a fairly normal looking shop, yes, but looking at it felt out of place, like going to a familiar grocery store on another side of town where all the aisles are backward and nothing is where it should be.
āYeah, letās go. Itāll be a sight for sore eyes seeing a bike that isnāt someone elses.ā
-ā ļ½¢āļ½£ ā- Admittedly, the otherās previous words had been nothing but a huge letdown for him, to the point where he almost felt betrayed by his rival and teammate. The idea of him giving up before they even tried seemed so unlike him that for a moment he had questioned if he was really talking to the person he had gotten to know so well during the past months. It was a relief to see him smile, despite the fact that he always thought the all-rounderās smile was a bit creepy, and scoff at the redheadās response, once again making a challenge out of his claim.Ā
This was more like him, definitely - no matter what they did or where they went, heād never allow his smaller teammate to get a head start and overwhelm him. They were definitely not a pair, nor did they like each otherās company or attitude, but if there was one thing that Naruko appreciated about this arrogant, cold-hearted elitist, then it was that no matter where he went, he could be certain that the other was right next to him. There was no way heād let his teammate too far ahead of him and this certainty was true for both of them.Ā
As if his spirit had been set on fire, his smirk widened while he leaned forward a bit, looking up at the one that had so boldly claimed that heād bring them home before Naruko had the chance to do so, an obviously foolish claim, if someone would have asked the sprinter.Ā āSeeing yer face every day is unnerving as well, but you donāt see me complainingā, he huffed, tilting his head upward and stretching his body until their foreheads almost touched.Ā āReally touching of ye, hotshot, but findinā a way outta here before me ās impossible!ā
āIām Naniwaās Speed Man, the fastest man alive! Iām not gonna lose against ye in a battle of time, no matter what!ā
Alright,heād done it, he was back in the otherās good graces, if you could even call it that. His words seemed to have saved him this time, but would he be so lucky next time? Who knew, really.
His competitive nature with Naruko was ingrained in his system by now. Who else was he going to flat out compete with that, dare he ever admit it to Narukoās face, seemed to match him so well. It was refreshing and felt like home to have this wager with the small bean. He couldnāt help scheming, coming up with what Naruko would have to do next if he lost. Maybe heād have to give Imaizumi his pillow this time, just come right over from his apartment and bring it to him. Yeah, yeah something like that sounded good, getting back at Naruko for training camp.
He also, however, couldnāt help scowling at Naruko insulting him. Back in the same old time weathered pattern, how comforting.
āYou donāt have to be rude, I was just stating a fact, youāre being an ass.ā
āAnd thereās no way youāre getting out of here before I am. In case you havenāt noticed, Iām the brains in this relationship.ā
I want the K~
6: Gentle Peck
There wasnāt much t it really. It wasnāt planned or on purpose, probably. Still, how he was able to be lost in his own thoughts and still run lips first into a strange girl was really beyond his own comprehension. Lips pressed to the back of his fist, he murmured an apology before walking off, swaying a little after what had happened.
i want the k, definitely
12: Chest Kiss
Kissing Izumida was like kissing three people honestly. Heād been asked to bring Izumida a towel, a simple request as heād forgotten to grab one before sitting on the rowing machine. It was almost hypnotizing watching his muscles in action. The way they moved and danced was amazing really. When the towl was brought over to Izumida, Imaizumi pressed it up against his face toĀ āhelp get the sweat out of his eyesā while placing one kiss directly on Andy, and the other, on Frank.
I want the k
15: Kiss in the Rain
He couldnāt believe Naruko had gone to the store, in the rain, and didnāt even buy an umbrella. Really, what did he plan to do, run home as hard as he could while darting between window coverings? That sounded really Naruko of him. Irritably he sighed. Theyād need to squeeze under his umbrella, it wasnāt huge. And heād have to be careful not to tilt it and get water pouring on Narukoās head or it would defeat the purpose. He walked over, setting the umbrella partway over Naruko to see if he would notice. And of course, Naruko wanted to carry the umbrella andĀ āprotect hotshot from the rainā. And of course, because Naruko was smaller, him tugging on the umbrella caught on Imaizumiās head ripped it. So here was Imaizumi with a ripped umbrella around his neck, drenched, and facing a laughing Naruko. Leaning down, he forcefully pushed their lips together, getting the laughter to die down into quiet shock.
i want the k :^)
12: Chest Kiss
He felt kinda bad that the kick to Miyukiās chest had sent him over backward, but he was also concerned with how much attention his calves were getting right now. It was ridiculous really. Still though, he saw Miyuki grab his chest as if to sayĀ āthat hurt, assholeā. He bent down, nervously unbuttoning Miyukiās shirt and sliding it out of the way. Ouch, that might bruise. Scratch that,it willĀ bruise. It was an occupational hazard for strong legs. Lips gently came in contact with several spots over the left side of Miyukiās chest, kisses moving softly, grazing skin and leaving a soft slightly wet trail behind from all the kisses. He stood up, looking intensely at the wall next to Miyuki, anywhere but at Miyuki.
āā¦.I kissed it better.ā
i want the k (why am i doing this again)
21: Then thereās tongue
What the hell why did this guy just think he could kiss soda out of Imaizumiās mouth that was so rude and uncalled for. Why couldnāt he just buy his own? Did he like taking other peopleās things? Imaizumiās screwed up his face into a scowl, storming over to Arakita and grabbing him by the shirt collar, firmly pressing their lips together. He forced his tongue past Arakitaās lips and firm protests, dancing on the lingering taste of bepsi in the otherās mouth before shoving him away.
āNext time Iām buying a cole...ā
i don't even know you but i want the k
1: Hot, Steamy kiss
Sitting in a hot bath after a long day of working out was surely the way to go. It was just so relaxing, so right, and it made him think of home, baths with his team. He was a little surprised to see someone else in the bath this late but he was already naked and it was too late to leave unnoticed, so he told the other he would be joining him. The bath was hot, the room was steamy, and Imaizumi could see the other nodding off in the bath. Hadnāt this happened to someone he knew before? Reaching under the water he pulled the otherās head back above water, pressing their lips together to give him air until water coughed forth from his lungs.
āBe careful not to sleep in the bath.ā
i want the k(imoi)
21: Then thereās tongue
He never wanted Midousujiās tongue this close to his person ever again but he sure as hell got it. Closing his eyes, he made a disgusted face as their lips touched and his tongue poked lightly around in Midousujiās mouth before reeling back in disgust at a grinning Midousuji.
āWas there a fly in there?!ā

-ā ļ½¢āļ½£ ā- For the first time in what felt like forever, his rivalās words werenāt encouraging, they werenāt able to lift his spirits, or caused him to take another deep breath and try his hardest.Ā In fact, the only thing they did was make him more anxious than he already was.Ā Finally, the grasp he had on his teammates jersey loosened, until his hands slid off of his body, hanging at the sides of his own body.Ā Staring down at the ground, he remained silent, which was very unlike him, dwelling in the heavy silence that filled the atmosphere around them. They stood in the middle of a great city with tons of noisy residents in all shapes and colours, yet all the sprinter could register was his conversation partner and how silent he was.Ā
He couldnāt believe that the other didnāt had a solution for this - no, rather, it would have been more unpredictable for him to know a way out of this hell they were stuck in.Ā While being unable to hide his disappointment and frustration, the redhead noticed for the first time since they had met how easy it was for the other to influence him and how much his words meant to him. One sentence was able to completely take the wind out of his sails, if he didnāt clung to it, stubbornly and desperately as always, too proud to admit defeat.Ā Naruko Shoukichi wouldnāt lose - not to this city, and not to this stupid hotshot.Ā
Finally, a grin spread across his lips, his head raising again as he laughed at the other, loudly and enthusiastically as always. āKakaka!ā, he chuckled, crossing his arms in front of his chest while glaring up at the other, his head tilted into a confident smirk. āWhatās with that lukewarm answer? Did ye get so scared in the big city that ye crapped your pants or somethinā? Donāt worry, Iāll find a way outta here and take ye with me.ā
āThen ye can tell everyone how the great hero Naruko saved ye, hotshot!ā
His own words rung in his ears, so they no doubt rang in Narukoās as well. It was so... odd. Out of place and chasing ideas that were never fully formed or hit a road block. If they could scale the wall would they be free? How would they scale it? Was it even safe on the other side? Was there an other side? And was this city safer than whatever could be out there.
Putting on a cool facade and acting like nothing was bothering him was a strong suit. He didnāt like to let others on to his most vulnerable thoughts and feelings, not even someone heād known well enough to call a teammate and maybe even a friend, if he so chose to.
There was something worrying, something so unnerving about how Naruko said nothing in response. He still stood hunched over, as if waiting for Naruko to grab him by the jersey again and shake some sense into him, yelling about how could he of all people not have a plan out of here. He was an assistant right? His job was to assist the ace, sure, but it was also tactical advantage. But was he even an assistant somewhere like this?
He was giving off the wrong impression, one that he was defeated and had no fight in him. One that said he was complacent with his new situation. This wasnāt it, no, he was just unsure of what he was doing. He needed information, he needed time.
He was slightly relieved once Naruko started laughing, and was rolling his eyes by the time heād opened his mouth to speak. A small smirk played on his lips, masking, hopefully, his thoughts.
āWhy do you talk about poop so much? Itās unnerving. And you think youāll find a way out of this city and drag me along? Thereās no way you can do that.ā
āNot if I do it first.ā

Arakita was impatient. He was pissed and anxious not being able to ride. Not to mention, he had gotten stuck living in some shitty underground place that was like a damn maze. No fresh air, there, no sir. Not like the air was anything better above ground, but it was definitely something from the musty underground dorm he shared with people who were even more annoying than the sleeping beauty of his former high school. It all made him restless, and thatās exactly why he wanted to go out.
Honestly, he was kind of glad he could run into someone heād known. Well - kind of - someone that heād gotten mixed up with in the past because of their similar looks, height, etc. Not that it was that big of a deal - Arakita just pushed off stuff like that. He never understood it, though, if he was being honest. He was all angles and too much teeth and had bark and bite equally large vs the other teen who was full of method, strong, an equal match for Fukutomi. Maybe thatās why heād reached out and asked him to come bike shopping with him after their initial meeting in the city. Heād respected him knowing how he could ride, that he stayed on his bike until the end of the inter high despite his frame cracking.
Huh.
The teen didnāt fully understand it, himself. Instead, he just went with it while his antsyness got the better of him. Heād jacked the neighborās computer when they had left for the day, sneaking on it to search for the nearest bike shop and found two that sold road racers within the city. One was obviously closer, hence him picking it. Arakitaād found a way to relay the message, setting up a time to meet with the other teen. They could only look, after all, but looking and (maybe) test riding was better than not being able to bike at all.
And thatās what lead him to where he currently was, dressed casual in a pair of fitted jeans and a tshirt, jacket pulled around him to shield him from the breeze that was blowing through the city streets as he leaned against the wall outside of the bike shop theyād agreed to meet at. The assist didnāt really have any means to tell time, so here he was (naturally) early as all get out because the last thing he needed was to leave a worse impression than heād already had in the past (probably). Being on time was engrained into him from practice at Hakogaku, though, admittedly.Ā
He just let out a slow exhale, lips parting to talk to himself.Ā
āJeez.. I hope they have a Bianchi like mine in there.. assholes takin it away and stuff,ā he murmured under his breath, hands delving deeper into his pockets as he waited patiently.
It was warming up, it was finally at the point in spring with no chance of sudden snowfall, and it was before the air was sweltering. The perfect season, the perfect day for a bike ride, training or leisure, it was still perfect.
You know, for someone who had a bike anyway.
His hands were jammed in the pockets of his sky blue hoodie with the rabbit ears on the hood. How they were able to get something Usagi brand here was truly amazing to him. Then again, he supposed, it was amazing anything and any of them were here, so maybe it wasnāt so surprising after all.
Heād never even considered test riding a bike, a major oversight on his part, especially when considering that he always seemed to have a tactical advantage over everyone. It was a glaringly obvious, embarrassingly so, oversight on his part. So much so he almost regretted agreeing to meet up with Arakita in the first place. However, he couldnāt let his own feelings get in the way of, or overshadow, his urge to ride a bike. He hadnāt gotten to ride one in over a month outside of stationary bikes at the gym, but those really werenāt the same as riding a real bike, they never would be.
Arakita was forceful and stubborn, but that really seemed to play to his advantage, didnāt it? Especially in this situation. He wasnāt sure who had been messaging him at first, as Arakita had no way to, but found out soon enough who was calling him out to his bike shop. In fact, he was glad he was told where to go, as heād never even seen this shop before. This city really did have everything, didnāt it?
He knew he was arriving a little early, but maybe that was just a little more time to look at the bikes before his companion arrived and he could finally enjoy them. Heād have to hold back, sure, but ah---. It seems he wasnāt the first one there after all.
Quiet footsteps in brown leather shoes brought him to Arakitaās side in front of the bike shop.
āI hope I didnāt keep you waiting long, I tried to arrive early.ā
