âNothing. Why are you smiling at me like that?â
âLike what?â
nemoxbaldwin:
Inbetween places? Yeah, right. Nemo putted his hands in his pockets. âOh. So whatâs the next spot?â He raised an eyebrow.
âIâll let you know when I figure it out.â Then follows a false smile, not that it was supposed to look genuine in the first place. His bag is pulled closer to him and he shuffles in his place. âWhat?â
nemoxbaldwin:
âYeah? What?â Nemo asked again, Eliâs lack of his usual arrogance gave him the courage to act more like heâd with any other guy. âWhy are you sleeping on a bench Eli?â he repeated, just to make the other boy more uncomfortable.
He stands for a moment, Nemo questioning him was making sense, obviously. Heâs sleeping out on a fucking bench, Nemo having inquiries was normal. âIâm inbetween places an it seems a good a spot as any.â Inbetween places? Bit of an understatement. Heâll tap his fists together out of habit twice before sitting back down. âSooo----â
nemoxbaldwin:
Thank god, it was alive. Nemo blinked a few times realizing who the sleeping person was. âEli?â He just kinda stared at the boy. âWhat are you doing sleeping in front of my flat?â he asked annoyed.
Eli stands, flustered. Heâs panicking, a lot. Of all people to have woken him sleeping on a bench, it was Nemo; fucking Nemo. While any other time Eli was glad of seeing him, heâs in no way feeling comfortable with Nemo finding out about his current situation. So with the look of panic (sheer terror) on his face all he can manage to blurt out is: â...      Nemo.â His voice trails off. âI uh-â Stuck for words, surprising for Eli when it comes to talking to Nemo. âIâm just uh-â He doesnât have a reason, a reason heâs willing to share at least.Â
nemoxbaldwin:
Nemo walked around. Suddenly saw someone. Who? âHello?â He poked the person on the bench. Was he dead? What the fuck. Hopefully not. He didnât wanted to call the police and tell them that he found a dead body on a bench in front of his flat. Not good stuff.
So the poke woke him him, surprisingly he hadnât been bothered any other night so this was more confusing than anything. Though he was about to get shanked in the side and then robbed, left for dead. But thatâs not gonna happen, hopefully. He looks up seeing Nemo. Immediately recognising the face and sitting up on the bench, looking down. Heâs not saying anything, and heâs trying to avoid eye contact. Heâs not wanting Nemo to know who he is and apparently this is the best way he can.
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âWhatever, asshole,â he spits out, then throws Eliâs bag down and walks off.
âSee you next time!â Eli watches him walk away, reaching to take his bag and sits back down on the bench. His tongue at his cheek, mulling over what had happened.
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âBe a stubborn bitch at my house then, idiot,â he threw back. Akio rolled his eyes, âYouâre the one who kept trying to get me to give a shit, now you donât? What the hell?â
He canât help but laugh a little. âWell this is ironic isnât it.â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âStop it,â he said in a low voice, almost like a growl, âWhy in the hell would you sleep in any of those places when someone is offering something decent?â
âBecause Iâm a stubborn little bitch.â A sardonic smile plastered on his face. âWhy in hell are you so determined now?â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âYouâre acting like a child, Eli. Iâm not going to just let you live on a bench. You could beâŠkilled or raped or something.â
âGood.â His words are coated with sarcasm. âFine, Iâll move to a wall, or a dumpster? Who knows. Lifeâs a fuckinâ roller coaster.â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
Akio gave him a deadpan look, barely even lifting an eyebrow at the otherâs behavior, âYouâre acting like an asshole. And not the usual kind that I generally find interesting. This game is tired, youâre amusing no one. Give it up.â
âFunny âcause, I donât give a shit.â He puts his phone down, looking up at Akio, motioning towards his back. âSo in case you havenât figured it out, Iâm not moving, Just put my bag down and go home in your own comfortable solitude.â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âRight, whatever,â he replies with a roll of his eyes. Akio purses his lips, âYou made your point, Eli. Get off the bench. Iâll give you all the attention you need to not act out or whatever, so get up. Iâm not a patient person.â
He looks back to Akio. âIâm kind of counting on you not being patient, actually so.â He slouches further on the bench, looking back to his phone. âHow long does it take until you give up? Being the busy man I am I canât be hanging round here waiting for you to leave all day. So if youâd at least give me an estimate.â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
âStop being sullen,â he told the other with a look, âNow get the fuck up. Youâre coming back to my place, Youâre not going to sleep on the streets,â he says then grabs Eliâs bag.
âContinue.â He corrects him. âContinue to sleep on the streets.â His arms still folded, he makes no effort to reach for his bag. Phone in hand, he continues to sit on the bench. Opting to completely ignore Akioâs efforts and he scrolls through his phone. âIâm not moving.â
Akio spots Eli.
akio-sunohara:
He then walks up to him, âThere you are.â
He glances over towards the sound, and heâs not saying anything. Glaring, mostly. His arms are crossed giving him that menaced look but thatâs actually mostly just for comfort. But to reiterate: glaring, not saying anything. Great start.
A Switch in Roles || Eli & Akio
akio-sunohara:
Akioâs eyebrows rose, but he didnât say anything regarding Ryan. He just informs him simply, âYou canât get to the liquor. The cabinet to it has a lock,â then leaves him alone in the kitchen, making his way over to the couch, where he turns on the television. He couldnât sleep now, so he clicked over the DVD player and a John Wayne movie began to play for him. He just decided to let Eli do as he pleased. Didnât seem likely that once Eli left they would cross paths again, so it didnât very well matter.
Eli bites his lip hard, watching Akio walk away from. He slams a cupboard shut and pulls his backpack up further onto his shoulder as it slips. He shakes his head lightly, laughing a little under his breath. âGoodbye, you sad little man.â He takes a last look around the apartment and leaves, slamming the door hard behind him.Â
nemoxbaldwin:
âPretty shitty Iâm sure- Not that Iâve experienced that⊠Not at all.â
âRight but how would you do it?â
A Switch in Roles || Eli & Akio
akio-sunohara:
Akio goes to lay down, but makes better of it and heads out of the room. He goes to the end of the hall and blocks Eli from leaving, still in just his underwear. His arms were folded stiffly over his chest and he had a serious look on his face, âYouâre not getting any alcohol and then taking off. Doesnât work that way. So how about you just drop the sullen attitude and fucking just say why youâre bitching at me. Is this because of Ryan? Hmm? Because you oh-so-desperately need attention?â he narrows his eyes at the other at a thought, âYou donât actually like me do you?â
Eli stops in his tracks and turns to face Akio, clearly having been angered. âDonât fucking talk about Ryan.â He maintains the eye contact for a moment before turning back around, beginning to search through cupboards. âI canât stand you actually. So if youâd oh so fucking kindly speed things up and get me alcohol, Iâd be alright with it.â Â
A Switch in Roles || Eli & Akio
akio-sunohara:
Akio clearly wasnât going to get to sleep now, so he sat back up, listening, and then rose to his feet, âYeah, I wanted you, but I didnât get you, so now Iâm bored. Simple. There are plenty of people who donât take nearly as much work to sleep with and given that I donât give a shit, thereâs no use in putting effort intoâŠwhatever this was. So, yeah, Iâm bored of you,â he told him in a calm voice, a complete contrast to Eliâs yelling. In truth, Akio just expected him to leave, not this visceral reaction. Akio folded his arms over his chest, âYes, I am acutely aware that I am, indeed, a âfucking assholeâ. Figured that out after the first two people left, solidified with the last two of course,â he explained, a small bite to his words, "And where the hell is this coming from? Why are you so upset? You were the one who was toying with me. Not the other way around. And this little game you have going? You can just as easily play it with someone else.â
His jaw hardens, he looks down shaking his head. âIâm not even, Iâm doing this.â He takes a step back and his hand lifts to his forehead. He laughs to himself quietly. âIâm not doing this. Fuck you.â He turns his back and begins to walk out of the room. Going to the room he left his stuff, he puts a shirt and trousers on, calling back at Akio as he slings his bag over his shoulder and heads towards the kitchen. âWhereâs your vodka? Alcohol, whatever. Anything.â
