“Why is it always the smallest of things people lose.” Eliza huffed slightly as she got up from where she was reading her book to start scouring around them, “I hate to think of how you remove your jewelry if it could be all the way over here.”

“It’s ok– it’s ok,” she insisted with a chuckle, melting the ice patch down. “I’m okay. But the question is, are you? I didn’t mean to spook you.”
“I’m-... fine.” She finally finished, sighing at the mess she caused and just glad that her sister was reassuring her in it being okay. “I struggle, with my power-.. I thought I was getting better at it, but I’m not so sure.”

Evan was not that great people, and they blamed their own ability to hyper focus on anything despite outside distractions for the fact that they often forgot most people could be distracted. They’d just seen that she was focusing on grass, and wanted to know why. Then it became obvious. Ice! How cool- literally and metaphorically. They skidded a few steps and gripped her forearm to steady themselves. “Shit! My fault. I’m fine, that was cool though. Do you control water or is it just an ice thing?”
Eliza reached out to the other, helping them steady themselves and not end up on the pavement, “Mon Dieu, are you sure you’re okay?” She couldn’t help but ask them, worry present on her face though the questions that followed made it clear that the other was doing just fine. “I guess it’s just an ice thing, cryokinetic.” She smiled, “Though I’m not exactly-... practised at my trade yet.”
There was a serious level of concentration on Eliza’s face, her tongue was sticking out and her eyebrows were furrowed as she tried to focus on her powers to ice over a small patch of snowdrops in the grass. What she didn’t account for was someone sneaking up on her, causing her to turn too quickly, icing the patch under their feet with a small squeal. “Merde, I’m so sorry- are you okay.”

“Hey, are you alright since the whole snowstorm?” Jordi asked handing a drink to Eliza. “You seemed a little freaked when we were stuck.”

Eliza thanked the other when he handed her over a drink, “I’m alright.” She smiled before letting out a small sigh, “I guess it was just the whole situation, I didn’t want to make things worse- and because I was overthinking the situation, I didn’t want to freeze the inside of the store.” She confessed to the other, “Merde, I’m tired of not having control over this.”

“Eliza, I don’t think we’re going anywhere now?” Jordi replied, looking out the flower shop window. “It looks like a mess out there.”

Eliza let out a long sigh as she tried to hide her hands under her crossed arms, knowing that she’d be the least help right now in a situation like this. “It’s crazy that it came down so much, so fast- I’ve never seen this much snow before. Is it always like this?”
Eliza was reading over one of her text books in the diner, reading a couple of lines before holding her palm out and trying to formulate small ice crystals and failing, “Why is it that Disney makes it look so easy-... though instead of making a grand ice castle, I will settle with being able to make ice cream on command.”

“Bekah!” Eliza called out to her sister, jogging after her with a smile on her face, “I found more information regarding our parents, I forget I had packed a small box filled with anything I could collect when mama wasn’t looking. Do you want to look?”

Rebekah found herself staring out the window absentmindedly, thinking about the events of the blackout and the possible future dangers it suggested. She was so deep in thought it took a voice a few times to fully get her attention. “Yeah, sorry– what were you saying?”
“I was asking if you wanted another cup of coffee-... but I’m starting to think that you didn’t hear much of what I said before hand.” Eliza commented, looking at her sister and reaching across for her hand. “Is everything okay, ma soeur.”

Rebekah: You're... cold? I thought the cold didn't bother you anyways 😉
Rebekah: Oh my god, you're here? I wish there was a way I could get to you.
Rebekah: Why did they have to lock us in separate parts of the school. They could've just locked down the school as a whole instead and let us have some more breathing room. Plus, I'm starting to feel like I need to use the bathroom.
Eliza: What did I tell you about the Frozen jokes!!!
Eliza: Didn't that guy in the Breakfast Club go through the vents?
Eliza: I guess to get better control of the people in here- I'm not sure, but maybe they'll escort you to the bathroom?
Jordi: No clue, I hope they get the power on soon. I'm not a huge fan of being stuck places.
Jordi: I'm sure it's not crazy serious, I feel like we would here about something if it was.
Eliza: Have you got someone with you? You're not by yourself are you?
Eliza: Right.. right- it's funny in some ways. Or not. I just, I go from this small town where nothing happens to a small town where seemingly everything happens.
Eliza: Want to move back to France with me?

Rebekah: Hey, are you alright?
Rebekah: Also... do you have any clue what's going on?
Rebekah: For some reason the power's out and we're being told that we can't leave. I'm in the gym at the Academy btw.
Eliza: I'm okay. Well sort of okay. I'm feeling a little cold.
Eliza: I don't, I was just told I had to stay where I was.
Eliza: You're at the Academy too! I'm not far, I'm only at the canteen.
Jordi: Are you alright? Where are you?
Jordi: I'm worried.
Eliza: I'm alright, I'm at the academy in the canteen. There's professors here. I'm just... focusing on staying calm. Don't want to make the situation worse by causing a blizzard.
Eliza: Me too, any idea as to what's happening?

Melanie was fixing the back of the ambulance after a call when she saw someone approach. She turned, “Hey, what’s up? Something you need?”
“Erm- actually I wanted to know if you need any help. I mean, I don’t have much experience in this, or any experience at all. I just-... I wanted to do something, to help. If I could.”

“Trust me it is, as you know, I speak from experience,” Jordan replied with a slight laugh, starting to walk toward the trail. His phone dinged and he pulled it out, checking it, having a text from his little sister to check the news. A part of him thought that maybe it would be something about his Dad. “Sorry, it’s my sister,” he told Eliza. “She’s saying to check the news.”
Eliza brought the tie off the wrist, pulling her hair back and into a ponytail when the others phone dinged. “The news?” She questioned, looking over the others shoulder before pulling out her own phone, her brows furrowed in concern and curiosity. She scrolled through the article, her hands turning cold and watched as her phone started to develop a frost, dropping it quickly and hoping it didn’t shatter. “These people- are they the ones I’ve heard people talk about? Villains who have been dormant for years?” She asked, heart beating a little bit quicker.

“Right?” Bekah chuckled. “I feel like nobody would believe us if we told them how this went down. But I guess we’re walking clichés, huh?”
“We’re practically one of those lifetime movies they show during the day or at Christmas.” Eliza chuckled, leaning down to pet the puppy that had now joined it’s sibling. “Maybe we should write a book.” She joked, looking up to the other with a smile on her face.

“Apparently I’ve heard it can be rather cathartic when you have a lot of feelings built up inside of you. Or at least that’s what the movies show.”
