There were so many benefits to his new lifestyle but as he sat on the floor of the dog shelter, grinning at a boxer who had just been adopted was definitely up there. He had been volunteering when he got the chance ever since he had first seen the picture of Mati on social media. He'd gone in the next day and a few days later, Mati had his forever home and Ziyad had a live in dog best friend. A best friend who was currently lapping up the attention from another volunteer, one he couldn't deny was yet another draw to the place.

"Ziyad, could you help me open the treat drawer again? It just keeps getting stuck on me?" Glancing across to the employee who was currently bashing her eyelashes, Ziyad unleashed a grin as he did just that. Was he interested? No, but a little flirting never hurt anyone. Once the draw was open and he'd flirted a little, Zee made his way over to Mati, a small smile on his face as he reached his dog and Jordan. "He always has liked the pretty girls, so it tracks that I find him with you." He had gotten a little smoother since growing up, but every so often, the cheesy lines of his inner nerd slipped right out. "Good to see you, Jordan."

Jordan is trying something new for this episode. The network said to mix it up a little, see what happened, and so he’s at some bar, kind of a dive but in a not super threatening way. He grabs a seat on a stool, happy that, at least for now, he’s done making himself look weird in a bar full of people. He orders a beer and taps on the bar, looking around before staring back at his beer.

It wasn't often that Ziyad would take a call from an unknown number, especially during a business meeting, but as his phone had rung for the third time, a shiver had run down his spine and he had excused himself to answer it. The voice on the call had been calm, but the words he heard had sent him into full blown terror. He'd quickly told his assistant what was happening, trusting them to pass along the message before he took off, not even bothering to wait for the elevator and instead he ran down the stairs to the parking garage below the office building.

He didn't know if he was even allowed to park in the space he ended up pulling into, but as he sprinted into the hospital and got directed to the area his sister was in, he didn't care what kind of parking fines he got. They could tow his car for all he cared. "Hi, I got a call Nailah Abbas? I'm her brother, can I see her? Is she okay?" As the nurse checked the system, Ziyad turned around, wishing his heart would stop pounding as he waited to hear about his sister. As he turned to lean his back against the counter of the nurse's station, his brow furrowed at the familiar face opposite him. A familiar face that was used to the complete opposite of the pale face, hand shaking wreck he was at the moment.

“Hey,” Danny knew it probably wasn’t reasonable to come here after screwing the little Hayes sibling but he felt it was apropo to come and deal with Jordan. If a little chaos ensued, well that was just an added bonus. “So I know you’re ticked off and I figured you’d want to even the score. Feel free to punch me - I won’t punch back.” Danny teased Jordan good-nautredly. “

Location: Hidehill General Who: Danny Anderson & @jordhayes​​ When: Thursday night, right before curfew What: Danny decides to go check on Jordan and mend bridges. 

This was a bad idea.

Danny kept repeating the mantra over and over and fucking over in his head but yet, that didn’t stop him as he walked through the corridors of the hospital. He’d figured out what room they had Jordan in and made his way over. He stopped at the door - deciding to not go any further. It wouldn’t be wise for anyone involved. He rapped his knuckles against the door and waiting till Jordan turned to face him. 

“Hey,” Danny greeted him, voice tight. He still didn’t like him but he wanted to see how he was doing. “I’m not here to pick a fight or be an asshole. I heard what happened. How are you holding up?”

Jax brushed the sleep from her eyes after a restless night. She didn’t have a phone anymore, she still woke up at the time she usually did. She didn’t have a shift today, yet she still walked towards the store at the usual time. 

She sat down on a bench in the park, legs up, leaning into her knees. “I forgot how boring life is without a phone,” she noted to the person on her left.

“Hey- hey... Jordi, it’s fine. Really.” Aubrey commented, clutching her arm slightly as she looked to the other. “I’ve had far worse happen to me, this isn’t even a scratch. I’ll be fine.”

To Find A Ghost: Jordan ❅ Amy

She stood in front of the warehouse with legs that she thought were strong, though actually weren't. They felt crossed between quicksand and jelly, sturdy to an extent, ready to wobble if the slightest breeze blew. The evening was calm (like before a storm). The only storm Amy Harrison was facing was a building composed of metal and memories. They were tied to the building. It may have not been in the original plans, though they were there now.

She stood in front of the warehouse watching them dance before her eyes. The grime stained windows, the moon catching off the edges of the silver surface.

She stood in front of the warehouse with a desire to run as fast as she could. She had a talent for that after all, running from her father, running from the threat of fists and broken bottles crashing into pieces (against her skin or beside her did not matter). She forced herself to stay put, however. She forced her beat up converse to curl into the concrete and use the pebbles as her anchors.

She stood in front of the warehouse waiting for Jordan. There was no way she would do this alone. There was strength in numbers. This had to be faced. She could avoid it all she wanted, though how many more months would she grant herself permission? Cody was dead. The words were whispered quietly in her mind and they stung. They made her bottom lip quiver and she pulled it between her teeth.

No weakness, it was far too early.

She turned, no longer facing the front of the warehouse. She faced Jordan instead with a look that suggested she was both ready and not ready at the same time. She spoke not a word. There was nothing to be said. She simply extended her hand, fingers stretched wide for the spaces to be filled.

It was now or never. Amy needed it to be now.
