A tiny smile appeared on Marlene’s face, growing into a bright smirk. “Well, I’ve always found that if you just think enough, there’s always some way around rules”, she said, her voice full of excitement and triumph. It was almost like she’d needed that challenge.

“Are you thinking what I am thinking?” A smug grin found it’s way on Ella’s face, knowing exactly what Marlene was suggesting. “It won’t be easy though. We don’t exactly have much time left before everyone leaves for the summer, so we need to come up with a wicked good plan fast.”

“It was a hypothetical question,” Lucinda groaned. “But you have to admit, my chances of playing for the Harpies would be higher if I changed my name to something that starts with the letter G.”

“Aright, alright,” Ella said, a certain tone of defeat evident in her voice. “I think statistically you actually may be right.” Somehow she hoped Lucinda wiould apprecaite her wrds. It wasn’t often that she admitted other people were right, especially if it implied that she was wrong. “I can call you Gladys, if that helps.”

“At least you think of me in a somewhat fond light other times.”

“I try to. But you aren’t exactly making it easy for me when you say stuff like that, you know.”

“So basically, for these last three weeks here, we just… do nothing? No exams, no classes and no going home just yet?”

“Well, sounds like that’s what they expect us to do.” The look on her face was  a clear proof of how unhappy she was with the overall situation. Ella didn’t like wasting time and just sitting around at Hogwarts doing nothing seemed to be just that. “If it wasn’t for all these new rules, that would be the perfect opportunity to throw an epic party.”

“I only said we were gathering there,” Ted muttered. “Do you honestly think we would use the Quidditch Pitch for anything? It’s a miracle the place hasn’t got guards or anything, but it’s not the place for playing the game that’s been banned for the rest of the semester. I know better than to spread it – At least, I like to think that I do.”

“Wow, Ted. That’s actually... really clever.” Her tone of voice sounded a little to surprised to be polite. She really didn’t mean to suggest that the boy was stupid, it was just that she didn’t think that he put as much thought into his plan as he seemed to have. “You should still be careful. If any teachers found out that people are gathering at the pitch, they might start asking questions. So maybe you should be a little more selective about who you tell about this meeting. Or you prepare some really good answers.”

“Yes, it is. Now stop grinning like an idiot. I wasn’t joking.” Eloise couldn’t help but roll her eyes at the boy. When she overheard him talking about one of her friends, of course she felt the need to step in and casually inform him that the girl he was talking about was way out of his league. To her displease, it seemed like it had passed him that she was actually being serious. "Is it so hard to believe that there might be someone in this school who is not into you?”

“Except it is not my fault. It is their fault,” she muttered, her tarot cards scattered about the bed, falling to stay in their given positions. While her cards were bought in a Muggle town with Muggle money, Aurora gave them a bit of magic to make their own decisions. Right now, she was regretting that choice as she attempted to give Ella a reading.

“I promise it will work, I promise.”

Ella furrowed her brows and gave the cards an evilglare, immediately feeling ridiculous when she caught herself doingso. She had seen glimpses of the future in the magical mirrors sinceshe was a little child, but not once did she see her own. That's whyshe didn't need to think twice when Aurora offered her a reading. “Itbetter will,” she mumbled under her breath, slowly growing more andmore impatient. “Then why is this taking so long?” She didn'tmean to come across as rude as she did, but the tension was killingher and thinking before she talked was never really one of her strongsuits.

“Look, I’m not saying anything is happening, but there is a small group gathering by the Pitch at five.”

“Well, that’s one way to keep an illegal activity a secret,” Ella said, raising a brow and eyeing Ted sceptically. “You know, there are probably one million things about this plan that could go terribly wrong and something tells me that spreading the news like a wildfire might be a bad idea.”

“I’m kidnapping you. Isn’t that obvious?” She tightened the grip around Benjy’s wrist, quickening her pace while pulling Benjy along.

What a bummer. Isn't that what attractive people do? Date other attractive people? You two would make a great power couple.

“Sweetheart, it takes more than a nice body and a good jawline for him to be attractive. A brain for example. Or a personality.”
