This here request’s gonna be for Nico’s consistently and severely underestimated co-pilot/foil. To put it plainly, he’s the brains to Nico’s brawn and the strategy that both realises and effectuates the rawness of his partner’s physicality. Don’t get me wrong -- by no means is this guy weak or incapable. He can more than handle himself in a fight. But where Nico is all brunt force and sMASH SMASH, he excels in speed, agility, and tactic. They compliment one another’s skill and style magnificently, which is why it didn’t fucking matter that they more or less loathed one another since day one of the Academy -- they were paired right up. Drift compatibility is a real funny thing, you know? 

So basically this super nerd right here is just <i>amazing</i> okay?? He’s got a way of dissecting a situation that’s nearly inhuman (maybe, or I might just have a lot of feelings about him and they’re clouding my judgment and making me 800% biased idk), he’s got an eye for detail and his brain makes ridiculously quick work of connecting the dots that many would overlook. He can pinpoint weak spots and knows exactly how to play to his strengths in order to make quick and effective work of an opponent. This is the skill that’s carried him through the Academy, despite the fact he’s much smaller than most of the other cadets. He’s great with tech, great with building things from scrap and shit, could have easily gone into the engineering side of things and excelled like fucking nothing else -- and that’s what people have been telling him over and over and over and over. And that’s exactly why he gave all those pricks a solid middle finger and left his big ol’ John Hancock on the roster to become a mother frickin Ranger. He’s always felt he’s had a lot to prove, and he’s never been one to back down from a challenge. Tl;dr he’s a precious underdog and I would DIE for him.

Nico is a different story. For whatever reason, we’ll leave it up for discussion because that’s so much better than me making all the decisions, these two got off on probably like the worst and most wrong (wrongest??) foot one possibly could. And shit was just messy as fuck from then on out. I have so many ideas and headcanons for this it’s proper insane, so don’t ask me about them unless you’re ready to drown in bullshit for 1000 yrs. 

All in all, what I’m looking for is something full of drama and angst and growing feelings and begrudging attachments and heaps of denial and arguments and literally just bickering up until the very second they’re strapped in their Jaeger and ready to go and then it’s bUSINESS TIME and they fuck shit up and it’s pure glorious. I’m looking for an unacknowledged ride or die, <i>I’m the only one who’s allowed to fuck with you</i> sort of deal with maybe some smooches and FEELings no one wants, slow burning and lots of pining and the inevitable awkwardness shame that follows (but not to like force anything I’m here for it either developing organically or not at all). At the very least, I would hope they’d ultimately develop the type of relationship where they’re helping one another sort their demons (god knows Nico’s got <i>plenty</i>) and just protecting one another and being a FAMILY while fucking it up a million times along the way. 

TBH I just wanna cry and then be dead.

The fc I’m suggesting is Miles Frank because I think he’s got such a great look, but really it’s like entirely open. Just run other suggestions by me first? Should be around Nico’s age (26), I’d honestly prefer a year or two younger? Ummm this is actually just the worst ad I’m sorry. I’m totally open to editing and tweaking and making this into something that fits aaalllll our needs so don’t hesitate to throw ideas my way if you’re interested!!! Like I said I’ve got about a zillion headcanons and ideas that I’m not gonna list here, but I’d be glad to share!!
