1Ls telling me how much they LOVE law school so far
Me:
Re-reading my first memo from 1L like...
“So, are you looking forward to your last year of law school?”
Me:
listening to people brag about their great articles
Opening up my exam like
Me leaving the exam:
VS
Me getting my exam back:
when the whole crew’s hungover but you gotta rally and study anyway
Me, writing any paper ever
when a prof answers my question and I don’t understand the answer but need to pretend like I do
me to my social life during finals
reading my paper out loud like
when I still don’t get into all the classes I wanted even tho I got first dibs as a 3L
the struggle of being a young woman in law
Happy International Women’s Day! Honestly, sometimes it is really challenging to be a woman in law. Many of my female colleagues and I have been asked inappropriate things by judges, lawyers and fellow law students, and each time it serves as a stark reminder that there is more work to be done. When things seem most discouraging I am always inspired by the brilliant women around me as they continue to blaze the trail ahead. Law school is competitive and stressful and often brings out the worst in people. Today and everyday let’s remember to look out for our fellow #WomenInLaw and continue to build each other up and empower one another.
me in group projects
when you and your friends are swamped with work in 2L but you're used to it by now
me when my friends outside of law give me advice about managing school
when you present a winning argument in class that no one challenges
