Mario porn feels wrong. To be clear I mean porn specifically of Mario himself — Bowser and Peach and the like are whatever in this context, but Mario? That’s like making porn of Santa Claus.

In Stars and Time is one of the best games I've played in like. A loooooong time. It's an RPG with a unique combat system, based around timing and a rock-paper-scissors style weakness system. It's not incredibly difficult, and it's not boring, so I didn't bounce off of it like I do with some other RPGs.
The game is alllll about the narrative. It's a typical fantasy setup-- Siffrin is going to fight the big bad with your party, and save a country from being frozen in time... But he finds himself trapped in a time loop, one that he has to figure out how to stop. As you progress through the story, the worldbuilding becomes more and more extensive, and linked to each party member. The characters feels like they came from somewhere-- they feel as if they could be real people.
This is the first time loop narrative that I've seen that I think really dives into how much being in a time loop could possibly mess with someone's mind. I won't say much more than that, but the narrative and the mechanics of the game do a good job of tuning you into Siffrin's state of mind, every sweet moment, every turbulent emotion.
There are some frustrations that are on purpose-- Siffrin forgets things, their mind full of memories of going through this over and over. You forget things too. Or at least I did! There are some other tricks that line up reaaally well with the narrative of the game, and they aren't ever ACTUALLY frustrating. My only real complaint is that sometimes the game is unintuitive-- you have to go about things in a specific order, check in with a character first... It's not too bad, though.
Overall, in Stars and Time is a game that really impressed me. I had heard good things in passing, I saw that it was about a time loop, and the art seemed cool. I was nervous for a while at the beginning, but it just kept getting better and better. I'm glad I gave this game a shot. It's going to go down in Ellie History as a Elliegame!!!!
(play it, it took me around 23 hours to beat and I got it on sale for 14 bucks. It's worth it!!)
soup is a foods
the movie Weapons (2025) is a comedy with horror elements, in comparison to Barbarian (2022), Cregger's last work, which is horror with comedy elements.

why do they keep pushing a horror guy named THE GRABBER. like ouuuu how scary!!! It's the grabber! Oh no! The grabber! He's gonna grab me!!! Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! the grabber better not be a Thing. I swear to god. The grabber.
NOOOOO I DON'T WANT THE GRABBER ON MY DISCORD!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!!!!!!!
Today, after 12ish hours, I finished Grapple Dog! For the first world or so, I wasn't too impressed, It was a bit too easy and simple of a platformer. But as it goes on, it becomes surprisingly difficult and complex.
The plot is simple, you're a dog named Pablo with a grappling hook, collecting artifacts to save the world from evil robots. It's a "plot," mostly acting as a framing device for the gameplay and the surprisingly funny, silly dialogue.
Considering I got this on sale for like 4 dollars, I'm really happy with this game! short, but not too short. easy to play two or three stages per day. if you like platformers, give Grapple Dog a shot! (The sequel is definitely going on my wishlist)
I've been reading more, and tbh I just really like bookshelves, so I set up a shelf for a tiny collection of my books that I want to try and read soon... I got classics, Shakespeares, sci-fi, and some other random stuff.
they don't tell you this but collecting books and reading them is fun-- you can get them for So cheap!! and then feel cool about reading them. then donate them or give them away again. the cycle continues!

This Yuri is trash!
I'm being a little harsh. I only read this because the title/concept was intriguing and I kind of like shitty vampire stories, and shitty yuri. But this is just boring and badly made.
The first chapter's generally good, but it becomes clear that this author has Side Character Syndrome, where they introduce a bunch of shitty side characters with no depth or rushed arcs. Altogether, the story is pretty generic. There's not even much cute yuri stuff to save it. They don't even kiss any scars of girls!!!!! Come on!!!! what's the point of the title?!?!!?
anyways I'll forget this in like 2 minutes. boring, bad yuri. at least it was only 17 chapters.

It's too late. I've already depicted myself as the cute and comfy lamb, and you as the awkward and silly-looking horse
Bakuman would be really really good if it wasn't incredibly, egregiously misogynist and objectifying. Every female character gets obsessed with the first man to talk to them ever. They're treated like prizes, with secondary dreams. They're always there to help the main characters, and never able to truly compete with them. But hey, it has the same authors as Death Note, so what did I expect?
I'm thinking about putting together a list of manga that focuses on niche fields, subjects, or hobbies. Bakuman would be a good one for "being a Shounen Jump-serialized mangaka" but fuck that.
'Tis a shame, though. It has some interesting things to say about authorial autonomy-- some meta storylines that can be interpreted as things they learned working on Death Note. One of these lessons being that it's better for authors to end their stories rather than drag them on and make them worse by adding new characters.
But this is a manga that forgives a lecherous creepy man for being extremely misogynistic because even he deserves to follow his dreams. So, y'know, it's shit. And I don't think I could ever truly recommend it to someone.
SAM MENDES DOES NOT NEED FOUR FUCKING BEATLES BIOPICS. HIS GREED SICKENS ME.
THEY'RE ALL COMING OUT APRIL 2028???????????????? who. genuinely who cares about each individual beetle that they're going to watch them all in a single month? what theaters are going to be devoting four screens to this?? I can't be mad anymore I'm just confused. Why? Why, Mr. Mendes?????
AND WHY IS THIS BABYGIRL (2024) FREAK JOHN LENNON??? I hope this movie shows him getting shot. I hope this Cinematic Event makes no money at all. I can't believe this. Fucking John Lennon.
