CLOSED STARTER - @elliexashworth LOCATION - Juniper Cafe
Honestly Jake didn’t even like coffee that much, but beautiful women liked to spend time in little cafe’s for some reason so he would often find himself nursing the same lukewarm cup for an hour or two, attempting to strike up conversations. Today he’d been lucky enough that the place had been busy and there’d been plenty of people to talk to. He’d been chatting with a family friend for a while but she’d finally left and now he was left sitting across from a table with a woman who appeared to be alone and engrossed in some sort of article or book in front of her when he cleared his throat and nodded towards her table. “You mind if I steal one of your napkins?” Anything to get her to look up and acknowledge him as he offered her an award winning, bright Whitman smile.
Ellie could not read on her laptop. Any new study or journal article she wanted to read, she had to print out so she could focus enough to read it. She also needed background noise to block out in order to focus. Going to busy places to do work was one of the coping skills her ADHD coach had taught her, and so far it was working. Unfortunately it also meant that she missed most of what the man across from her was saying. “I’m sorry, were you talking to me?” she asked, trying to clarify, “Because I missed most of what you just said.”
