idk if this helps any but!!! rami got a lot of fan mail from mentally ill fans who really connected w elliot and said personally, he didn't want to give elliot a specific diagnosis because he didn't want to limit who could connect w him, but esmail Has stated explicitly for elliot to have certain diagnoses in interviews like dissociative identity disorder, so, :c (i'm with u on a well written protag w psychosis tho :^( )

im real glad that mr robot doesnt romanticize or demonize mental illness but im also iffy abt the fact that its a main plot device n that elliot doesnt have a confirmd diagnosis so far which is a rly risky move and im rly hoping that esmail handles this well
