I’m not a rower myself, but there are elements about it I admire. There’s the elegance and timing; the sustained effort; the dedication (early [cold] mornings); the embracing and working with the boat, water, and sometimes fellow rowers. When I take a picture like this, capturing the moment, I just think ‘wow’.

This was just another day of working out and it was actually getting surprisingly fun and easier. 2Ks are getting a bit easier but I’m still pushing myself but I’m just finding it easier to push myself stay above a 2:40. Which is so important to me because my goal honestly really is to break 2:30 for a 2k before the start of the summer. So that’s my goal and I guess I’m getting there but I definitely need help with lowering my time for majority of the time.
I’m surprised I can still run/ jog 3 miles. I definitely was not expecting that since I hadn’t ran in a while so it was kind of fun to get back into it. But at the same time it was really nice to kind of not think about anything and run.
I did my normal routine but I bumped a few things down and up just to alter it since my workout routines are never the same. Also that day, I had felt like I wanted to take it like any normal day. So I just toned it down with the abs since I had ran more. But besides that, it was a nice workout because it wasn’t disappointing or overachieving. So there wasn’t any stress. It was just a normal workout, which I liked a lot.

The erg was crazy! I did an alright piece. It is definitely worst than my normal time but I don’t know why I let my body just stop. It was terrible. I was just too thirsty. Like my body physically wanted to break down. So I stopped took a sip and continued on my 2K. The problem was that for my last 500 meters I sprinted too fast too early. I ended with a 2:44 for my first piece. And my second piece of 500 meters I ended with a 2:31. But that wasn’t even a problem. The problem was during my sprint, I ended up going so fast that I hit 2:21. I have never solidly gone that fast. The fastest I had gone was 2:23 before that. So it blew my mind I was able to press 2:20s for a solid 100 meters. It was insane. But besides that, the erg really worked and me and I was feeling ridiculously sore. I also noticed I’m pushing more with one leg than the other. Do you guys know how to fix that?
I walked on the treadmill since lately I’ve been having some crazy stress going and I really didn’t feel like running so I didn’t. I walked it off and it helped. My mind wasn’t really anywhere. I kind of just walked and listened to music. It was more of a jog but I did sprint towards the end to kin of push myself a bit more. But as I walked peacefully it was almost as if I had time to think to myself an there was no one there to tell me what to do or think. It felt really nice.
I finished the rest of my workout and honestly I’m failing at my planks but I’m rocking at my crunches and double crunches. Boy is my body confusing. But hey, it’s doing amazing things holding up with all this stress and me demanding it to do a 500 meter piece the fastest I’ve ever gone. I mean. I’m crazy. But as I stood up and hobbled off into the distance to drink water, I knew I was proud of myself. For at least doing it.

Things to work on...
My relationship with working out - I like it, but I hate forcing myself to do it. I hate before going. I love the feeling after wards.
My relationship with my body - I need to learn to love it more. Especially my stomach and my limits.
My relationship with food - I love food, and I love all foods. But I guess I need to learn to not be guilty if I eat something bad for me.
My relationship on vapes - I like them and I like what they do, but I need to sort out how I feel about them because they are bad for me.
My relationship with boys - I like them. But I need to realize I do not need them.
My mind - I like that I’m accepting to most things, but I want to to control how I react to things and how I act.
My erg scores - I would love to be able to break 2:00 :)
My running times - I’d like to be able to run a mile in 8 minutes.
My sleeping schedule - I’d like to get more than 5 hours of sleep per night.
My conscientiousness towards others - be more aware of how others feel, react, and say

Be more carefree

Farts while Crunching?
Soooo... A farting is a thing while crunching.

So after my 2k and 5k, which I did PR!!! You guys :) I’m literally so happy I can PR on these!! Haha okay so as I was doing my 25 crunches, I don’t know what happened but I didn’t feel it coming but out of no where, I fart! The loudest fart possible rips through me!!!
Like I honestly didn’t even feel it build inside of me. But I do! And this time it was way more awkward cause I couldn’t even act like it didn’t happen! Like I had to acknowledge. So I did.... And I continued to do my crunches.
So after my embarrassing fart incident I finish off strong with my 1 minute plank and squats. With my squats I made sure to really make sure my butt didn’t spontaneously fart. So it was an interesting 100 squats.

Farting Squats?

So I have an interesting story after getting through a 5K, and a 2K.
When I was following up with my 100 squats.
I had gone down to push up on my legs. As I was standing up, I let out this huge fart and it was possibly the second most embarrassing moment in my life. I tried to brush it off as my foot slipping on the yoga mat. But it was pretty obvious that I had farted out loud. So I kind of just continued to squat.
I finished off my 1 min plank, and crunches. But the entire time I was really careful to not let anything go. So the rest of my workout went quite smoothly. But I have to say that working out definitely removes bodily things from your body.
Oh dear, this was actually super funny and embarrassing to write out.
Worst 5K of my life
Spring break was upon me and I decided to atleast try to be healthy. But little did I know that since I hadn’t gone in over a week, my body didn’t like it.
Erg: 5k

My 5K, ended up with a split of 3:27. THIS IS SO HUMILIATING! Like what happened to my body?
I have to admit, I had been stressed since I did this before the ACt. But even then I sucked wayyyy worse than ever. I only was able to sprint around 200-400 meters. And then drag it out too way lower than 3:45 at my tired pace. I seriously didn’t know what was up. I did practice stokes which I understand will be slower. But even then, I went slower than I have ever been. It was just slightly discouraging.
So I hopped off. I actually tried to do a 2K. But I just couldn’t. My body couldn’t physically try anymore. So I got off sad and disappointed, did my squats, my crunches, and plank. That’s when I proceeded to think about my future and how terrible I am.
But later that day I asked another rower friend what I was doing wrong and she said, don’t do long pieces if your goal is to get faster on shorter pieces. But I was confused. My only advice for anyone else who is trying to do this, is just relax. I stressed out over the scores even though I failed to realize that I went during my spring break. When peopel would normally opt out. And I don’t know. It brings it into perspective. What also helped me was realizing what I had been eating for the past week. A lot of sodas and junk food. Junk food I don’t mind as much but the sodas really slowed me down.
So keep that in mind next time. Sweat safely!! :)

YOU GUYS!!! I CAN’T BELIEVE I just PRed my 2K. I literally freakout when I saw my average split was 2:36!!! This is insane!!! I’m honestly so proud of myself!!! I haven’t been back to 2:30s in forever. And it took me months to get back to here. And I guess it speaks volumes that I was able to get back to it on my own. This was my personal record that I had always wanted to achieve. I wanted to get back into 2:30′s by the end of junior year. And honestly I’m so happy I was able to do it before. So my next goal is to get to 2:20′s by the end of junior year.
I upped my squats because I felt extremely happy and also very sure I could do it. And I did, but god did my legs burn. Any tips to not have my legs burn so severely the next day?
But yes, it was a short day for me since I was given a short amount of time. But I’m oh so glad I was able to get in a 2K.
I’ve been lately very concerned for my abs because of my old back problems would have been a bit bette if I had a stronger core. So I have been trying to really strengthen it. So I’ve been doing planks and crunches.
But after I left, I felt exhausted but oh so happy. I loved feeling tired and sore. It made sense to me. It meant I did great :)

Sooo, lately I’ve been just erging and not doing too much running. And it’s been amazing. My warm up is literally my walk to the gym since it is so far away to where I get dropped off from. So after I walk to the gym, I just change and jump on the erg to do a 5K, then a 2K. Sometimes I change up the order of this. But lately I’ve been soaring!!! I’ve been flying and its crazy awesome!!
I PRed my 5K and my 2K!
I’m now in the higher 2:40′s. If that made sense?
But then I do 50 squats cause honestly my poor thighs cannot handle too much of that. Which went well. I was honestly getting sooo tired and I really wanted to sit down. I did my normal1 minute plank. I’m still confused if I’m still doing that wrong since at on point I can feel my back muscles working instead of my abs. Any advice?
Then of course feeling as though I have not worked my and enough I do 25 crunches.
And all of this concludes my awesome and exciting trip to the gym again!! :)

God I love this chill song. If you need anything to set a pace or if you’re doing a long distance peace, try it. And I actually do homework to this so anything? :)

I know! I know! I haven’t been posting a lot of my food! It’s something I really need to get back in the habit of doing. Or start the habit of it! I haven’t been eating anything really spectacular. Mainly just normal average everyday chips, sandwiches, soda, water, and fruit.
But I promise you guys, I’m being healthy for dinner :) Well more like my parents are making sure that I am being healthy.
But then again, I like to give myself the freedom to eat whatever I want whenever. Of course I don’t overdo it with doughnuts in the morning. But I’m saying I’m not holding myself back. If I’m feeling like I want to be a bit more healthy that day, I will. I’ll eat more vegetables and fruit that day.
I’m just saying I’m sorry for the lack of posts about delicious foods. But honestly I have been eating less than I normally do. I’ve only slowly started to eat a bit more than normal. I just think after everything I’ve been through recently, I’m just trying my best to hold onto everything. But that’s okay Cause I’m getting back there again :) Don’t worry about me you guys. Also... You guys got this! :)
