VULCAN SELF-PARA 002
When: September 29, 2020
Who: @eeveecrmchl
Trigger Warnings: Violence, Injury, Self Destruction
Another night, another drunken fight. It’s a record compared to the times of his break-up with Eevee, this has been the absolute worst for Vulcan so far. The past…weeks for him has been always the same. During the day he’d be on autopilot, working at the repair shop, he’s been taking extra work lately just to be able to pay the bills and everything else. He was supposed to have another job that would replace the fight club, but he never showed up on his first day. He was on the living room floor, surrounded by a couple of empty bottles that morning. But besides this newly-developed, self-destructing routine he’s got, sometimes he would be sober, only when meeting up with Eevee, where he would always feel his own heart endlessly crushing just the way she looks at him, as if they never happened, as if he doesn’t exist in her life. He’d already received a couple of warning from her father for breaching the agreement they had a year ago and he’ll respond with no care with whatever he’s planning to do. He’s got nothing left to lose anymore.
He kicks the door open with Chevie running up to him. “Hey—I missed you too, bud.” He kneels down, smiling at the Pomeranian, as if he doesn’t look like his shit just got rocked by someone he’s just got into a fight with moments ago. He walks over to the kitchen and leaves the uncapped bottle of rum before heading to the fridge to grab some ice for the bruises. He hasn’t even had a decent meal for days, he hasn’t been talking to any of his closest friends and he knew they’ve been worried about him, but he just couldn’t take any interaction with anyone right now. He’s shut off the rest of the world and he knew he’d very much lose it easily, most especially if Eevee’s going to be mentioned.
He closes the door of his fridge and stares at the number stuck on it, his father….he’s been attempting to contact him for months now, and lately, he’s been tempted to take up his proposition, to reconnect, if there’s something that needed to be reconnected in the first place, and for the man to help him with his financial struggles. But Vulcan isn’t like that, call him stubborn, but he did like working hard. He loved getting the things he well deserved, he doesn’t like them getting handed to him. But with the situation he’s in right now, he’s very much like going there. But not yet. Not when he can still do this on his own, still. He doesn’t want to give up that easy. Just a little bit more work, maybe….just maybe….one of these days, Eevee will remember something. He isn’t going to give up on her, not this time.
He takes the piece of paper from the fridge and heads to the bedroom this time, grabbing his phone from his pocket to at least have his number saved, just in case things aren’t gonna go well. Vulcan isn’t sure, but deep in his gut he knew something’s bound to happen. He’s got to be ready for anything, especially now, with that agreement that he evidently disobeyed. He knew trouble has been already brewing.
