It's been a while since I ranked the B5 characters, so not only did I re-rank them, I also created a whole new template with more characters on it than my previous one. You can use this template too:

Quite a few characters moved up or down the list in the year since I last ranked them, but my major faves remain the same <3

I find it hard to do this type of tier list sometimes because, despite disliking some characters, I think they're all very well-written and serve their individual purposes! I can understand/appreciate the traits of a character without liking said traits... you get me?

I certainly hope these Grand Prix assignments are not indicative of USFSA going all in on Z/K to the detriment of everyone else (the obvious thing to do to try and ensure CPom also make the final would have been to get them to Skate America too)

I think it's a little hard to tell exactly what is going to happen.

The thing is z/k were always going to get skam. They placed above cpom all season including a medal (deserved or not) at worlds. And I never really thought they would put cpom in because if cpom is carrying momentum from earlier in the season, then the world medalists could easily be beat and usfs probably feels they owe them an easy win (although I think it could possibly be not as easy as everyone thinks but we shall see).

I think their assignments, while not amazingly easy, are also not as bad as people are making them out? They can get silver at gpdf. NHK placement will be highly dependent on momentum they are carrying from earlier in the season, but tbh there's no reason they can't medal or even win there.

Everything is going to be so dependent on their programs. I'm going to be buzzing with excitement/anxiety until we get some program announcements (and even after lbr).

Ballroom dancing girly here quite impressed with CPom’s day off waltzing…strong lead and follow, down in the knees, Christina’s got a lovely big topline and smooth head positioning, Anthony understands heel leads in the footwork though he needs to get that elbow out further, he’s hugging Christina too far around the back with the arm and it makes his frame droop…but overall I was pleasantly surprised! That can’t have been their first time. They’ll smash DWTS after winning their 2030 OGM.

Thank you for this evaluation! I know very little about ballroom lol, so this is so interesting to me. I love that they are working the fundamentals off the ice too. I am so excited to see where they take this waltz this season.

Is there actual concrete info that Lajoie/Lagha are on the verge of calling it quits, or is it just social media catastrophizing? I’ll be furious on their behalf if it’s true, the fact that Zingas/Kolesnik and Fear/Gibson who can’t ice dance have world medals and they have a bunch of 8th places…I was at Montreal worlds and they should’ve fucking won it, no joke (everyone says it should’ve been Piper and Paul but in person it was really apparent how much more ice coverage without relying on crossovers L/L were getting)

ok so I don't have any hard evidence for you about this. That being said, I have heard enough from people who know things to feel like it's a legitimate concern at this point. I'm not saying oh yeah this is set in stone, but just there is a LOT of smoke around this potential fire.

I'm with you though. Their results have rarely been representative of their skating. It has to be frustrating for them, because it is for me too. But I swear Skate Canada better be throwing everything they have at lala to keep them together. Otherwise they may have some big issues.

Anthony is really kinda eating everyone for breakfast in these SOI clips. I don’t why I’m surprised but I am? Scott should give the boy his tango and let him really dance (especially as Z/K are doing…Bolero)

I AM SO PROUD OF HIM. Tbh I think he has grown so much in performance ability over the past 4 years especially, but it's truly coming out on tour. He's having a blast and also doing an axel on dance blades truly no one is doing it like him.

I've got a good feeling about this coming season for cpom. I think good things are coming.
