Where Have I Been?

I’m sure by the title of this post that a lot of you have been wondering what’s been going on with me for the past few months. And for that, I am deeply sorry for my absence and near-silence. I’ll try to keep it concise, but I’ll break it into parts to explain what’s been happening. 

I’ve been doing some online learning. This was a suggestion that was presented to me and I agreed with it. I was still able to do a little bit of voice acting while juggling my studies, but that didn’t exactly go as well as I had hoped. I’m not done with them yet, but when I am, I can use the skills I’ve gained to better organise my life around, among other life skills that would be incredibly beneficial. 

I’ve gained a new job. This was a lucky opportunity that came to me in October last year and I’ve been working at this new job (a back-of-house worker in a restaurant) since then. I’ve encountered new challenges along the way that have been beneficial for me and I’m enjoying it a lot, and I hope that it continues on for a good long while. 

I’m required to assist my family more than before. A relative of mine suffered a serious injury around the start of this year, so 2020 has not been a good beginning for my family and I. I’ve been pitching in more with housework and errands throughout my daily routine now and I’m hoping to be able to settle down to spend more time on my own activities like I once did before once the situation is resolved and the injury is healed up. 

As far as my previous activities go, especially my voice acting, I’ve had no choice but to put those on hold until I have more time on my hands. The first and third will not be a worry for a while longer but the second is long-term that I intend to keep for as long as possible. 

All I ask of you, whoever is reading this, to please be understanding. I know you’ve been waiting for a long time for some new content coming up on my own blog and on the Ego Incorporated blog that I run. Regarding the latter, my absence has caused the blog to go on an unannounced hiatus. It will be back up and running soon, but I have some IRL priorities that need to come first. 

Thank you for reading this post, and I again apologise for not updating you about all of this sooner. Your consideration would be deeply appreciated.

The Story. So, since @markiplier

Couldn't be bothered to answer any actual questions related to Darkiplier during the initial or subsequent talking about AHWM walkthrough. I tried doing my own digging for information on the mysterious Ring.

I tried cleaning up screenshots, I went as far as Contacting Rooster Teeth themselves ViA Email..

Nothing... But then I saw the Props Master for AHWM on Twitter and I reached out.

SUCCESS! So on Dec 8th I got a reply and TODAY! I got the answers.

Chase Brody shot himself.

As I already posted this in Seán’s server. I figured I would post it here before a bigger Blog steals my Theory.

I’m not a Theorist.. (Mostly because I’ve been jumped on a lot for expressing an idea that’s not “Good enough.”)

But since @therealjacksepticeye posted this.

I love Medical stuff.. As such. Seeing the newest image of The Brody Manchild caught my attention. Many people besides myself noticed the sunlight refraction looked like a “Bullet”..

But to me. It looked like a familiar bullet…

“A  young male patient was shot from a revolver on his left temple from a close range,

but surprisingly he survived. On imaging, a complete bullet was found occupying his left maxillary sinus and infratemporal fossa. The bullet, after hitting and breaking the neck of the mandible on the left side, ricocheted and entered the left maxillary sinus through its posterior wall. It was removed safely by a combination of sublabial antrotomy and endoscopic approach. ”

(Mind if I add a little bit to this awesome theory, @weepingredwillow​? It got me thinking, and now I can’t stop…)

This also adds weight to the folks who have been theorizing that Chase is actually Anti. Or that Anti is Chase from the future.

Surviving a gunshot doesn’t guarantee that the mind is still whole. As he’s depicted in the Bro Average vid as shooting himself directly in the side of his head, it’s likely the bullet ricocheted inside his skull, possibly puncturing one or more parts of his brain (ie. causing brain damage).

So, my theory? Based on this, he indeed survived… but he “came back” wrong. People who survive experiences that cause brain damage tend to become very different people after the fact. Some have use of their limbs, some do not, depending on where the brain was injured. Some who experience brain damage can seem normal, but move strangely when trying to walk/run.

And brain injuries don’t heal.

So… Anti is future!Chase, a brain damaged and mentally ill Chase, who’s trying to reverse what happened. Because he knows his family needs him, his friends need him… but the repeated failures at stopping or rewriting what happened made him angry, and progressively more unhinged. And, when he becomes violent, Anti is always depicted as injuring himself while appearing to be someone else (usually by an injury to the throat, the seat of the voice).

Because, generally speaking, the only real danger a mentally ill person presents is to themselves.

Anti is Chase, after numerous failures of trying to rewrite a tragic history of suicidal behaviour. He’s trapped in the endless cycle of being his own worst enemy.

So, he’s given up. He feels like shit and everything hurts. The world is too painful for him, and no one’s really listening to what he’s trying to say underneath the psychotic babble that’s both him and not-him… So now, he’s going to have a little “fun”. Because it’s all an illusion anyway. Because none of it matters anymore. Because he’s just going around in fucking circles.
