Remembering Davie Bowie with this cartoon by Benjamin Schwartz.
Dear person reading this,
You deserve a life full of happiness and positivity. So don’t let others get to you and believe in yourself.
I guess this is why they say “start by loving yourself”, because, well, I feel a little underappreciated, and a little under-loved.
One way to look at it is misdirected energy. I feel like my output has never been higher, the quality of my work has never been greater, I’ve never been able to do and clear so many things; and yet I feel a little bored, a little challenge, a little hungry.
Unrecognised.
Another way to look at it is not being rewarded. I see echoes of the systems and ideas that I’ve put into play, that I’ve researched and developed, and I’m hardly credited for. I think it’s validation when your ideas and stuff you’ve developed is echoed - seeing Morgan Schneiderlin scrawled on chalkboards, or hearing people attempt Sun, Moon & Stars as an Icebreaker.
And then being treated as yet another grunt.

One of my favourite twitter trending topics I’ve seen in a while: #GirlsWithToys.
This came as a response to an Astronomer’s remarks that Scientists are ‘boys with toys’.
Glad to see such a strong response from the women of STEM. :)

Well, I’m never going to unsee this so I might as well inflict it on as many other people as I can.

Are you hydrated? If not, have a glass of water.
Have you eaten in the past three hours? If not, get some food — something with protein, not just simple carbs. Perhaps some nuts or hummus?
Have you showered in the past day? If not, take a shower right now.
If daytime: are you...

Customer #0045, or Hillary Clinton’s Burrito Bowl
SERVER: Welcome to Chipotle. How can I help you?
CLINTON: Thank you, my fellow American. Thank you. Thank you. But ask not, “How can you help me?” Ask, “How can I help you?”
SERVER: That’s what I said. What would you like today, ma’am?
CLINTON: I’d like a tax break for the middle class. I’d like better schools for our children. I’d like more videos featuring a diversity of Americans that show how relatable the powerful person who approved said videos is—even to white, male factory workers from the Bible Belt.

Well, almost all.
THIS IS AWESOME
Be bad until you’re good and good until you’re great.
There’s either a tiger in each of us or an ‘each of us in every tiger’. Either way, that’s pretty great.
There is something faintly troubling about the grammar and ‘punctuation’, but this is a good thing to reblog.
Does ‘each of us in every tiger’ mean we are devoured?
We don’t even ask for happiness, just a little less pain.
