“my, what have i done to deserve to be blessed with your presence once again?” elora wondered sarcastically, reminiscing about their encounter a few weeks ago. “it’s like you’re purposely following me-- though i won’t flatter myself like that. it’s just a sad coincidence, i suppose.”
elora couldn’t help but feel out of place at the event. despite being the seelie queen she didn’t really know anybody there and just had this awkward aura that didn’t seem to attract anyone to come talk to her. watching the dancing people made her smile but also a little envious. the seelie helped herself to some food when she carelessly bumped into a nother person. “oh, i’m terribly sorry! i’m such a klutz.”
“If I didn’t have time I wouldnt have offered.” Minho stated. He lent his hand to help her up from the bench. “What brings you here anyways?” He picked up a different sort of scent on her, but didn’t see any runes on her skin.
“i’d say interest is what brought me here.” the blonde shrugged nonchalantly. “i haven’t been to los angeles in a while, so i thought might as well see what changed.” elora didn’t feel like mentioning the fact that she hadn’t been there for well over a hundred years.

Minho stopped walking and looked around. Could the blonde be talking to him? He was always made fun of in the pack for having a soft appearance. “It’s kind of complicated to explain unless you’re from the area.” He looked as his watch. He had the time. “What me to show you?”
“i would appreciate that.” elora nodded as a small smile spread across her lips. “i hope it’s not interfering with your schedule too much.” despite being the seelie queen, she did never expect people -- especially non-seelies -- to feel obliged to help her.
“THAT IT HAS YOUR MAJESTY.” it had been a very long time since he had last spoken to or seen the seelie queen. her youth and beauty ever the same as his own of course. “yes, the last time i attended your court. my that was centuries ago i think.” august tilted his head in curiosity, wondering why the seelie queen was here in los angeles above all else? though he supposed the situation of their world was enough. “well, los angeles has become my home as of recent years, especially since i’m the high warlock.” a title he held with pride, “tell me, my queen, what brings you to la?”
“oh, you’re flattering me. you may just call me by my name-- i think that’s sufficient enough.” elora smiled at the warlock, her eyebrows raising more and more the more he talked. “oh? my, congratulations on being the high warlock!” the seelie exclaimed cheerfully. “i was becoming bored and wanted to see a little bit more of the world. somebody suggested los angeles and i’ve come to like it here.”

the blonde spent her night sitting on a park bench, waiting for somebody to pass by. her phone was dead and she didn’t own a watch. she didn’t feel like going back to the seelie realm, but she really needed directions in this unfamiliar city. “hey,” elora called out to the passerby. “could you maybe tell me how to get to downtown los angeles?”

“it’s been a while.” the seelie smiled at the view of the an old friend. “i think we last met in the seelie realm-- i haven’t been there in quite some time now.” elora much preferred the mundane world, getting tired really quickly if she has to stay in her kingdom for longer than necessary. “i certainly didn’t expect to meet you in los angeles. i keep running into familiar people.”
“ lora. ” the name fell out of his lips with such melody that only came with years of acknowledge, lips twiching into a minute smile. “ why’d you think that ? the world is small and we’re both condemned to an endless life. ” he said before his gaze wandered around, shoulders being lifted in a shrug. “ i’ve done my fair share of traveling. wouldn’t be fair if i haven’t given this place a chance, now, would it ? ”
the blonde rolled her eyes at him calling her by her nickname. “i don’t think i ever allowed you to call me like that. to you, it’s either your highness or her majesty.” elora remarked jokingly, a playful smile appearing on her lips. “you’re right, how ignorant of me to think i would never see you again. if i had known about our second meeting, maybe i would have acted differently back then.”

“i sure am happy that nothing’s happened to you.” the blonde smiled weakly at her friend beside her. everything went by so fast the night before. elora still found herself trying to recollect her memories and make sense out of them -- but she had no such luck. “everything could have ended a lot worse after all.”

confused, the blonde just stood nearby the now deserted party, wondering what had just happened when she suddenly sensed a presence next to herself. “do you know what just happened?” elora wondered as she looked up at the unfamiliar man.

“and thus our paths have crossed once again.” the queen remarked in a slightly condescending tone of voice, her gaze fixed on the vampire. it had been quite a while. “i thought i’d never see you again, how strange to think i’d find you in a place as meaningless as los angeles.”

They were sitting on the bench, the old-looking book carefully placed on their knees as Olethros raised their head. Look of green hues quickly landed on the person that shadow just settled over yellowish pages. “Looking for something?” small, polite smile forming on their lips as the question was voiced in a soothing tone.
the blonde shook her head at the seelie’s question. “just walking around, not really on a mission or anything.” sitting down on the bench, a sigh of relief escaped elora’s pale lips. “you don’t mind if i join you, do you?”
