If You’re Racist, You’re Not Part Of The Frozen Fandom
I need to make it very clear, if you are racist you are not welcome in the Frozen fandom. You do not like Frozen or Frozen 2, you don’t like Elsa or Anna or any other characters.
You like the fantasy version of them you’ve created in your mind in order to protect your whiteness and your classism.
Your “waifu” would hate you.
Elsa would hate you. Anna would hate you. And the creators of Frozen would AND DO hate you too.
Frozen isn’t for you and was never meant for you. Frozen is about family, sisters, self discovery, and loss. It was never about hating and belittling people who aren’t like you and pretending to own fictional characters.
If you hate the fact that F2 had the “audacity” to acknowledge the indigenous people of their region, you’re racist. If you hate the fact that fans create works of Elsa eating, playing, wearing the clothes of, or interacting with the native people, you’re racist. If you think its degrading to dress, act or live like an indigenous person, you’re racist. If you hate that fans simply like the new indigenous characters, you’re racist. If you think indigenous people are dirty, ugly, uncivilized, don’t know how to feed themselves, aren’t hygienic, are rude, irresponsible, or speak out of turn, you’re racist. If you think the fact that these characters aren’t real, gives you free reign to call them slurs and deride their characteristics that actually apply to IRL cultures and peoples, you’re racist.
Racist don’t deserve a platform nor to be listened to. You don’t get the right to harass, berate, and dogpile fans and then say you are the one being targeted. You don’t get the right to call characters of color racial slurs and s*vages, esk*mos, gorillas and double down on your bullshit and expect no repercussions. If your friends/mutuals with the people who do this, you’re racist too because you’re saying that degrading and belittling indigenous people isn’t a deal breaker in your personal relationships. And you don’t get to hide behind the guise of a stupid ship war or criticism either. You can be a petty bastard AND racist.
You’re not fans, you’re parasites. You got into Frozen because of the most superficial, trifling aspects of your ‘favs’, and now that that’s changed and no longer caters 100% to your white supremacist, elitist dogma, you’re mad.
