Throughout underground bunkers, Throughout the rest of weapons, The soldiers of fallen armies Wander with shots in their chests. I have my roots interlaced with a crowded mass grave; I'll tell them, “your war is over!” I'll tell them, “you've really won it!”
So much light outside there, Dogs can drink from a puddle, And with a squad of branches, I'm finally breaking out. I'm spraying white to cover the traces of cars and mud, And I'm exploding with rose hips to congratulate the heavens, Exploding with bright red rose hips.
Although my skin is in thorns, it's a mournful remembrance: I've learnt about Death more than one could ever imagine. Throughout vaults of concrete, Throughout moss-covered tomb walls, I still long to see the heavens, I long to live awaken.
