had a Cry Session last night over fucking ubisoft connect deleting/overwriting? all of my ac cloud saves for no reason at all and im still experiencing the cursed Autistic Rumination and keep trying to reload and search folders as if a magical backup is going to appear. i got lucky and had 5 hours of my save from. fucking. 2024 for origins left on my local files but the other 30 hours are gone forever :) and my odyssey and valhalla saves are just. completely lost bc i did not start saves back in 2024 so i guess. fuck me for that

partially on me for not verifying that cloud saves through steam Do Not Exist for ac games bc i just assumed theyd have backups somewhere and not that i am stuck relying on ubisoft to have an adequate launcher. Whoops. learned my lesson :') time to backup everything manually. especially for games i havent finished and cannot play except in random yearly bursts ie. my ac games. head in my fucking hands
