“It is a nice day out despite the Hurricane that just passed through,” she chuckled. “I do,” Sawyer nodded before biting her lip. “I mean, it was here when I first realized I was in love with Logan. And that was a pretty good moment, even though I was young, around your age actually, I was watching him out there with his friends messing around and I just knew he was it for me.”

“That sounds so sweet!” Emily grinned at the thought of meeting someone she could love here. “This place is full of magic isn’t it?” she asked.

“This. The rivercourt. This is home.” Emily smiled.

“I’m okay, how are you, love bug?” she asked her. “I have a lot of memories here, I’m sure you will have them too as you get through all of your high school years.”

“I’m doing well. Happy to be sitting here enjoying this air.” she smiled. “You think so? I’m looking forward to it all!” She paused for a moment. “What’s your favorite memory here?” she asked curiously.

“It’s one of my favorite places in the world,” she smiled over at Emily.

“Sawyer! How are you?” Emily stood up and smiled at the older girl. “It is probably my favorite place.” She looked around then over at her again.

“There’s nothing like sitting at the rivercourt with the fall fresh air is there?” Emily would be lying if she said she didn’t miss this place because she had. A lot.
