why is this post completely broken in every way imaginable
Broken notes… deactivated account… removed image….
Finally, we have them all.
In addition: OP’s name is just… gone. No “[insert username]-deactivated[insert a bunch of numbers]” as is the standard for deactivated blogs.
Just the world “deactivated.” Look upon their post, ye mighty, and despair.
was no one going to tell me Grian was surrounded by poppies and lilacs the first time he and Scar met or was i just supposed to stumble upon this while watching TFC myself
I haven't seen dancing pumpkin guy ONCE this year, are you guys okay?
FINE! I'll do it myself
I’m legally required to post this every Halloween
more musicians should write about completely made up situations. i dont wanna hear another breakup album thats obviously just the singer venting about their ex. its boring. i dont care. make up some OCs and write crazy POV songs about them killing eachother.
no he was actually stuffed into an arcade machine and then beaten to death with a crowbar why do you think he hasn't released new music
i just saw someone describe a disabled person as "someone with beautiful abilities" i cannot do this anymore
god can we stop softening the term "disabled". disabled isn't a dirty word. it's not "special abilities" or "differently abled" or whatever the fuck you want to call it. people have disabilities that cause life to be hard and there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that?? it feels so invalidating when people are like "ohh you're not disabled!!! you have special abilities!!" like. omg a) it feels so infantilizing. b) by saying that you're basically saying our struggles aren't real...? some conditions are disabling. it's not hard to understand?? like there is NOTHING wrong with being disabled & using the word disabled. it's not offensive it's not a dirty word can we take the shame out of it pls oh my god. this goes for physical & non physical disabilities btw
the statements "clothes don't have gender" and "clothes can and do invoke gender dysphoria and euphoria for many people" can and should coexist.
I really don't think they can actually, because these two statements together are completely incoherent. We must ask, if clothes don't have gender, then why do they invoke gender dysphoria and euphoria?
The statement "clothes don't have gender" is ahistorical, completely unmaterialist, and a critical error in understanding gender as a structure.
In order to be accurate, the statement must instead be that clothes shouldn't have gender, as gender is a class system upheld by patriarchal violence and must be, as all class structures, dissolved. I have a feeling this is what OP actually meant, but precise wording is necessary when doing any kind of analysis -- and yes, even a post like this is analysis.
If we do not acknowledge that clothes are and have always been a status symbol of not just economic class, but a gender class, we innevitably inaccurately identify the sources of numerous phenomena, including gender dysphoria, but also significant structural issues like gendered violence.
If clothes don't have gender, why does the narrative that women can "invite" rape by dressing a certain way exist? If clothes don't have gender, what then is the historical context for the transvestite? If clothes don't have gender, how do we understand drag as a legible cultural phenomenon? When we assert the this notion as fact instead of a goal, reality becomes incomprehensible.
I'm really not talking to OP here, because in 80k notes I doubt they'll see it and I don't really care, I'm using this as an example for those who follow me. If we are legitimately interested in liberation from gendered oppression we must be precise in our understanding of how gender operates as a structure. Otherwise we can only thrash in the dark.
DID YOU KNOW THAT:
every episode of bill nye the science guy is available to stream and/or download for free from the Internet Archive https://archive.org/details/billnyethescienceguythecompleteseries-07-28-2021
NOW YOU KNOW
Me: Okay improv class somebody give me an occupation. :)
Class: Dentist!
Me: okay, so in this scene you are going to be a dentist. :)
Child 1: WHY DID YOU STEAL MY TEETH!
Child 2, on the floor, sobbing: I’m so sorry! I sold them on the dark web. I’m in so much debt from medical college.
I ask myself this every day.
12 year olds REALLY like taxes, debt, and divorce as topics of distress in improvisation for some reason
The foreshadowing this episode was incredible. Grian starts talking about it being a “full moon” to hype up Pearl going on Red, only for the new moon to rise behind her. And not long after, Pearl is gone.
The moon disappeared, and so did she.
